Eight months into a three year warranty and ‘poof’ - Best Buy referred me to Targus because the dock is covered by a three-year warranty. For approximately eight months, the dock worked exactly as expected. A few days ago, it suddenly stopped passing sufficient charging power to my Dell Latitude 7450, resulting in a “Slow Charger” warning. I tested the same Dell power adapter by connecting it directly to my laptop, and it charged normally. Despite that, Targus support immediately concluded that the problem was my Dell power adapter rather than the dock. I repeatedly explained that nothing in my setup had changed and that the issue had only just appeared, but my concerns were dismissed. After a lengthy chat, the issue was finally escalated to Tier 2 support. I hope Tier 2 provides a more thorough technical evaluation. Unfortunately, my experience with Tier 1 support left me disappointed. I expected a company honoring a three-year warranty to investigate the issue objectively rather than immediately rule out the dock without conclusive evidence.

To display cmp or phone to tv - Bought so I could display my phone and or computer to the TV directly. Works fine, but I always want a better price so nothing has ever 5 stars to me. :)

Very good - I’ve been using this dock for a little while now and honestly it’s been really good. I got it because I needed more ports for my laptop and it made everything way easier. The HDMI connections work great and I haven’t had issues with the screens cutting out or lagging. I also like that I can charge my laptop through it instead of using another charger. It just makes my setup cleaner and more convenient. Overall I’m happy with it and it definitely helped a lot.

Item Bad - Best Buy Good - Didn’t work. Returned it with receipt. Not Best Buy’s fault. They were awesome to deal with and made return process easy.

$100 paperweight... DO NOT BUY!! - Nothing more but a $100 paperweight... From day one when I started using this, it was malfunctioning. The display ports were fine. But the ethernet port wouldn't consistently work because my internet connection would drop regularly. Also, the USB ports were crap. I used a wireless keyboard/mouse combo, and both would intermittently stop working. I thought the batteries in my keyboard and mouse kept dying, but nope! Once I got a different docking station from Anker for half the price, I learned it was this Targus product that wasn't working. TLDR: This is a piece of CRAP!!!! You could find a much cheaper alternative on Amazon that works much better.

Good Docking Station but Occasional Connectivity I - The docking station works well for connecting multiple devices and the dual HDMI support is useful for a multi-monitor setup. The design is compact and easy to carry. However, sometimes there are connectivity issues where the device stops detecting the monitors or connected peripherals. I usually have to unplug and plug it back in for it to work again. Also, the dock tends to heat up if it is used continuously for a long period of time. Overall, it is a useful product, but the occasional connection problems and heating could be improved.

Cable - I like this adapter because it has many plugs for different devices and thus I avoid so many cables; it is good."

Love it - It make my life easier, i need to connect 2 monitors to my laptop and this is the correct one

Great and Easy To Use Hub - This was very easy to install with no drivers to install or anything. Just plug and go. We were able to get my son’s dual monitor setup going like a pro, as well as hook a keyboard and mouse into it as well. Freed up his computer for quicker transport.

Not as good as it should be. - The device supports 2 monitors but only one monitor is 4k and the other is lesser quality picture and kind of much lighter colors and brightness.

Great for home office - Worked perfectly to set up my home office. Easy to set up.

Good product - Light and portable. Did not fit my needs to expand my monitor for MS Surface 4 which requires only the MS Surface docking station.

Buy it. - Very simple and convenient. Plug and play. Works with laptop.

Did not work - This docking station did not work to extend my mac to two monitors, I'm sure it would work with other computers though.

Purchase - Ended up returning this item, wasn't what I needed

Good Product, Not Excellent - This is a good product, but not excellent. The Targus docking station is really meant to be used for travel in my opinion, not for home office use. The cord is extremely short, and it does not live up to 100W pass-thru charging. But, it does work as intended, just not to the highest expectation. I ended up buying the Microsoft version and it works better, it has a longer cord and the pass-thru charging is a true 100W. I would still recommend this, I was just looking for a better quality of life product. Great value.

Docking Station - Works great as a docking station for my home computer setup. Good price and good quality. Good amount of connection point.

Good product - Actually works really well, i use it as an extension to my webcam

Targus - USB-C Dual HDMI 4K Docking Station - Awesome product - I use it in my home office and then I can just toss it in my pocket and take it on the road. Allows me to run two monitors and my laptop as a 3d screen. Have had zero issues with it and fully recommend if you are looking for a dock that doesn't take up too much desk space.
