Netgear Nighthawk Cable modem - Easy to install. It replaces the cable modem from you carrier, so you save the monthly fee. Then I added a mesh wi fi router and have great coverage everywhere in the home Upstairs, main floor and finished basement , even the patio and driveway which is desirable for the security cameras.
Modem is fine when not defective - Description: Second one of this unit works well. Had it connected and working within 10 minutes. That follows purchase of a defective unit on which I wasted over 10 hours on the phone with four Netgear analysts, four ISP analysts and a $100 visit by my ISP, only to be told my internet connection was fine and the modem was defective. I wish I had gone back to Best Buy before all that. Best Buy took it back and gave me a new one with no questions asked. Really appreciate that. Netgear has done nothing for me, in spite of being supplied the information in this review.

Easy to install - A great upgrade to my existing service. One phone call to activate it is all that was needed.
Great Modem - Very pleased with this modem. Easy set up and have had absolutely no problems with it working. Works much better than our Xfinity modem.
Speed - A massive update from my last Modem. Mine just shut off one day so needed a new one. Decent price and great speeds. I noticed the difference in my online gaming instantly.
Easy setup process and works well. No issues with it so far. Longest part of setup was dealing with service provider to allow modem access to network.

NEVER BUY NETGEAR - I will never buy a Netgear product again. I bought the 2500. worked great for about 4 days then it just stopped working. returned it to best buy. The have no networking hardware so I had to get a 3000. Same thing, worked great for about 5 days, then stopped working.
strong signal - This unit solved issue of dropped signal to our work computers. Both mine and wife work from home most days and this had been an issue before we changed modem. No more issues

trash - could not figure out why my internet kept resetting and turns out it was this new modem i bought and paid 250 for. i would not reccommend
