WD – D10 8TB External USB 3.2 Gen 1 Portable Hard Drive – Black

Gaming hard drive - Have my whole steam library on my hard drive works great with my laptop and my desktop computer.

Easy set up, works with Time Machine - I keep this drive as my Time Machine backup drive at work. It was easy to set up. It is a little noisy when it is backing up but I don't mind. I have not noticed any overheating issues like some reviews say, but it also only runs when backups start.

Excellent external drive - I love this drive. I have not had any problems with the device. Upload and download speeds are very high. It fell off the desk a couple of times but still performs perfectly.

Great External Storage - This is a work horse that can take a beating. We have it hooked up to our media server, and it manages to take knocks even though it's out of the way. Nothing has fazed it so far, and the 8TB capacity is a real winner. Two thumbs up!

Amazing Hard Disc Drive Speed. - I bought this, because I needed a hard drive for long term storage. Solid state drives, dont last nearly as long, without having to plug them in. I had 84,810 photos and videos on my Alienware M18 R2 laptop laptop, that I needed to put on the hard drive for long term backup. I was antisipating hours to transfer all of these photos and vidies onto the WD - D10 8TB hard drive, it literally only took 20 minutes. That is insane, how fast it made the transfer, on a hard disc drive. I would recommend this drive to anyone. If I ever fill this one up, I will buy another one. The speed is just one amazing part. How easy it is to setup, the stand that comes with it and the build quality, are also vantastic. Go buy one, they are worth every single penny spent.

WD BLACK ROCKS!! - This is a great hard rive to store all my stuff!!!!

Computer storage - Storing everything I have on my console and computer.

As advertised - This 8TB external hard drive is an absolute game-changer for anyone dealing with large file sizes, massive game libraries, or extensive media collections. Out of the box, setup is straightforward, and the inclusion of active cooling helps keep performance stable during heavy data transfers. The USB 3.2 Gen 1 interface delivers impressively fast and reliable read and write speeds, making file backups and loading times seamless. The build quality feels exceptionally sturdy, and the sleek industrial design looks great on any desk or entertainment center setup. Highly recommended for anyone needing reliable, high-capacity storage!

Top tier Storage - Im loving the functionality of this storage drive. It was plug and play form start to finish. Im using this for my Ps4 game storage. Design is nice also not an eye sore or taking up too much space on the stand I have it on.

Waste - I purchased this 362 days ago the product is ok. It takes a while to load games once the capacity is full. It dropped about 2 feet and it completely stopped working (my fault). I called Best Buy which didn’t do anything for me because my membership expired a week later. This item should be built a bit better for accidents. I do not recommend this or the membership plan from Best Buy. I spent thousands of dollars at the store, on top of all this the price doubled within a year.

Great as a backup to my NAS - You can never have enough backups. I use this as a secondary backup target for my NAS if all else fails. Works great and connected via USB no issues.

Great storage. Bad fan and heat - the speed and storage is great for those who want to game don't need to use a SSD, but the fan built in it will fail and drive will heat up to around 50 Celsius. which is something the hard drive wasn't advertised to run such a high temperature. Recommend getting a warranty for it until WD fixes this issue.

Portable harddrive - The hard drive does exactly what I need it to do and with its own cooling fan I don't have to worry about over heating for having it running for to long

I like it - high quality product! It is exactly what I want to purchase.

Great product overall - What can I say it's western digital i have always bought there internal and external hard drives. Since i've been playing games building p cs, they're reliable good product overall....

Great Hard Drive - Work great. Clean design. Quick transfer rate. Recommend any gamer
