Wish I could return it - Absolute junk. I'm writing this review using mobile data at my house. Constantly drops speed, now my phone can't connect to WiFi at all. I have wiped and reinstalled the network, did everything tech support suggested, and still nothing. I'm disconnecting everything and going back to the cheap router that spectrum sent. At least I'll have Internet.

Customer reviews
Write a reviewThis is fast and no dead zones in our house - Been using a different brand for last 10 years. They said they weren’t going to support that product anymore so came down to our local Best Buy and the tech genius there knew about every system and guided us to this TP-Link Deco 7 Pro. Easy to setup, the Qar code it generates made it easy for the family to join the new WiFi and all went super smooth.
Hands down the best mesh wifi system on the marke! - I have owned several top end brands wifi .esh routers. NONE of them cimw even close to the quality and capability f this product. Its not even close. If you can find this at your local best buy... this wll be the only setup you need for the next 6-10 years. I wish i could have posted the look of shock and excitement i had tbe first time i saw this baby work. Easily supports my 2GB plan... and wirelessly! Just buy this and thank me later. Merry Christmas!
Great but not sure if I would say perfect…. - Absolutely — here’s a cleaner, more polished version that keeps your honest tone while making the review easier to read: Great product overall and very easy to set up. I especially like the IoT isolation features and the clear, straightforward instructions for getting everything up and running. That said, I’m still having some issues with coverage. I went with the 3-unit system, but honestly, I don’t feel like the range is quite as good as advertised. I understand that walls, layout, and other factors can affect coverage, but at this price point, I expected more. I’m also running a 2GB fiber connection from Fios, and while the system is capable of maintaining those speeds, I still experience occasional buffering. The range is also not as strong as I expected. For example, I would have liked reliable coverage on the sidewalk in front of my house and on the back porch, but those areas can still be inconsistent. Overall, I really like the system, especially the features and ease of setup, but I think the coverage and range could be significantly better for the price.
Fast dependable Wi-Fi - Very easy to set up. extremely fast, the coverage is absolutely insane. It covers my entire property of a half acre. I would definitely buy this again. This thing can handle up to 200 phones, your gaming experience isn’t anything else you can throw at it.
Great company, i am switching this product for their access point tech. But it is a great product and eady yo set up
Seems To Be a Good Router - Super easy to setup and haven't had any issues with connectivity so far. I might change this to a 5 ☆ rating later when I have had more time with it but for now it seems to be a solid 4☆.
Easy set up and very good coverage - I am not a geek in electronics but this was super easy to install and connect my devices. I needed this to have the farthest areas with internet connection and this system did it.
Awesome Upgrade - We went from Nest wifi to the Deco 7 Pro BE14000 and the upgrade was well worth it. We have a 3800 square foot house with the main router in one upstairs corner. We struggled getting coverage across the house with the Nest wifi and experienced way too frequent drops. Since the upgrade we have had nothing but smooth connections and top speeds.
Very happy - Upgraded to these from a set of Orbis and couldn’t be happier. Great speed and great WiFi coverage and super easy to set up home and guest WiFi options. It’s only been a monthb and glad we switched…at least so far.
Way Better than Netgear Orbi - Switched from Netgear Orbi to this system and absolutely no regrets. Set up was simple, no drop signals, and everything connects quickly. Speed is better than Orbi too and app is much more responsive.
Defective Initial Installation - There is a serious issue with this product. The product can be installed in a way that appears to work normally, but you end up with random Internet disconnects that continue to occur no matter how many different official troubleshooting recommendations from TP-Link that you try. A Wi-Fi-Mesh system that operates normally 95% of the time and is disconnecting from the Internet 5% of the time is unacceptable. I am tech-savvy and I battled this product for four months. Of course my ability to return this product to Best Buy had expired long before the four months were over. The only reason I am giving this product two stars instead of the minimum number of stars is because I finally figured out a permanent fix to the Internet disconnecting issue. Don't buy this product unless you are willing to jump through the hoops to permanently fix the issue. The permanent fix that worked for me was to delete the original network using the Deco app on my cell phone, switch to using a different mesh unit as the main router, reset all of the mesh units using the reset button on the bottom, and most importantly -- when setting up the new network using the Deco app on the phone, when prompted to do so then power cycle your cable modem (or however you get your Internet) and wait for your cable modem to completely get back to normal before continuing with the setup of the new network. This explains the title of this Product Review -- Defective Initial Installation. When I setup the first network with this product, there was no reboot of our cable modem involved. This is my theory why my initial network installation resulted in continued random Internet disconnects for months.
Perfect home mesh!! - I've been extremely happy with this mesh system. The setup was quick and straightforward using the Deco app, and the coverage throughout my home has been excellent. I now have a strong, stable Wi-Fi signal on every floor with no dead zones. Speeds are fast, connections are reliable, and all of my devices stay connected without any issues. If you're looking for an easy-to-use, high-performance mesh Wi-Fi system, I highly recommend this one.
Just great - Love i! The signal is great and no problems at all.
Definitely Don't Buy - What a nightmare - TV's buffer and any Apple product, while showing connected, isn't. After hours and hours on the phone with their support we were basically told they can't help us and they have no idea why it doesn't work. Too bad I'm outside the return window - I'm stuck with 6 very expensive paper weights......
Great Mesh Wifi - My Internet is running smoothly and I'm getting great signal throughout the houses.
Works Great - Was using it with Starlink and we were getting dropped constantly. Had older (2 yr old) version of the Deco . Hasn't dropped at all since we installed the new Deco 7
A constant heacache - This is my second time trying to swap over to a newer setup with TP Link Decos from my Asus AX11000 and two other asus routers set up in ASUS MESH. These things need a constant babysitter, network optimizer to run once a day, daily restarts in the morning, and we still get drops, slow connection, unreliable service. I have xfinity's highest tier plan and I don't get what I'm paying for unless I'm hardwired. Now I understand that hardwired is always going to be better, but the promises of these units is below subpar. Wired backhaul isn't an option (rental unit), and while I understand how wireless backhaul works, this is just falling all over itself to give occasionally mediocre access at best. I am stuck with it now so I'll just continue to babysit it but I am certainly going to swap units again.
Great for the result and excellent performance in home
Great system - Have one satellite on ny main level, one in my basement & one in my garage. Keeps all my devices connected no matter where we are house, garage, yard. Great speeds also.
