solid dive - I have had this drive for months with daily usage with no issues so far.

Love this drive, we've used 4 of them to edit a feature film. Over 7 years, none have failed. Just bought another!

Seagate - Hi this is my second time having one. My first seagate bricked up on me but nonetheless, i took it back to Best Buy and they eeasily hooked me up with another one.

16tb external hard drive - This hard drive does its job. I use it as a back up for the data on my desktop. It was -- as would be expected -- simple to install and use.

Works as planned - Bought this for my home server and its worked perfectly.

Great thanks - Thanks great product fast shipping. Great size works for everything I need

Excellent HDD - The best high-capacity external hard drive you can buy. Small, high-quality, and with large storage capacity.

Excellent product! I highly recommend this product to everyone who has a need a need for a reliable source of storage for photography images…

Reliable, straightforward external drive. - I hooked this drive up to one of my Linux boxes I'm using as a home media server. It works great. Was immediately recognized, easy to reformat and stably connected.

Seagate - Expansion 16TB External USB 3.0 Desktop Hard Drive reliable workhorse

excellent capacity. Easy to use. Keep all memory safe!

Fragile - Well...it was great until it wasn't. It does the job as being an external HDD. However, the cable is too short. I moved a littel too much, pulled on the USB cable and down it went. The result, it's trash. The impact with the carpet caused the HDD to implode. It was that violent so the durabiltiy is marginal on this one. Buyer beware.

cheaper but with drawbacks - Somewhat noisy and slow to wake up and retrieve files.

Solid Drive with a touch of noise. - I purchased this drive to replace a failed Time Machine drive for my Mac Mini. It worked flawlessly upon connection and the system connected and formatted it without any issues. The device is fast and connectivity to is solid. It IS a bit beefy in size, and you do need to keep in mind this drive is not bus powered. It requires you to plug it into its own power source, but for a backup drive, that should be standard. I would NOT consider this drive to be a portable, but you do you. It can get a little warm, but nothing outrageous and it is not silent or even quiet. It does make noise when active with various clicks and knocks but I personally only found it distracting for the first day and with my headphones or normal sounds from my computers, I rarely hear it. I feel it through my desk more than audibly hearing it. Overall, it is a solid drive that does exactly what it's supposed to do.

LOVE SEAGATE EXPANSION HARD DRIVES - WE LOVE SEAGATE HD EXTERNAL HARD DRIVES. SO EASY TO USE. WE HAVE SEVERAL WITH MOVIES, OLD TV SHOWS, CONCERTS ETC. WE OWN A-- 16TB, 12TB, 4- 8TB'S, 2- 5TB'S. NEVER HAD A PROBLEM OR ISSUE WITH THEM. THEY ;OAD GREAT AND FAST.

Good Drive Speeds, LOUD Vibrations when using. - This is a large format drive. I bought the 16TB version. It seems to be fairly speedy. It has an included fan to keep the drive cool that is whisper quiet. If that were the end of the review this would be perfect. However, this drive enclosure is so NOISY!!! Sounds like an old CD drive on startup or a 3.5 inch floppy drive. the noise is unusual in today's day and age. I have two more USB external drives connected to my computer that I cannot hear running. This drive however vibrates hard upon start up and rattles my desk every minute or so. I am not sure if mine is a defective version or if it needs bigger or better rubber feet to isolate it from the desk. I am considering shucking it from the enclosure and trying the drive in my external USB enclosure to see if it is the drive or the case. This might make a good drive for a NAS server (in a closet where you don't have to hear it).

Easy to use - Excellent option to back up photos and videos. Easy to use and compatible with my laptop.
