Really nice design - OLED is finally here honestly fixed all the issues I had with reaguarl Xbox
Amazing Display - Great device and amazing display! Great for playing my games on the go.
It's beautiful - The format, display and ergonomics are perfect. Now keep this exact solution with better APUs as they come out and you've got a customer for life!
Strong chassis, weak performance - The ROG XBOX ALLY X20 achieves every satisfaction but performance. Good speakers(better than a flagship phone), good battery life (2-3 hours @25w), excellent screen (OLEDvs LCD), good unibody(exquisite 20th anniversary logo and transparent black), good cooling (redesigned thermal system and PCB). If you want to find a most integrated while superior handheld gaming device, this is your choice. But however if you wan to find the most powerful machine, especially the mobile and web games, X20 will not satisfy you because it’s pricey and you can easily upgrade to G3E instead of Z2E. Overall recommended but not for the enthusiasts l.
Feels good to the touch and grippy, the issue I have with it is the UI gets a little buggy sometimes when having multiple tabs open
Great pc handheld - Awesome oled screen . Makes a big difference controller with the rubber grip feels great. this feels like it should have been when it first came out
Flawed, but awesome handheld - The ROG Xbox Ally X20 has been a nice improvement to the original Xbox Ally. However, it could have featured a more recent processor. Otherwise, the machine works pretty well. The only really downside is they haven't quite worked out all of the glitches with how Xbox mode and Windows integrate together. Overall, it does what it was designed for, and the OS allows for the system to not be tethered to a single marketplace.
Stunning handheld gaming experience - The ROG Ally X20 is an incredible device. The OLED screen looks absolutely beautiful with vibrant colors, and the addition of the microSD Express slot is a fantastic improvement for storage. Performance is smooth, and it is easily my favorite way to game on the go. Highly recommended!
It’s great - It started off amazing, until I realized the M1 button didn’t feel right. After a bit it came off. It didn’t bother me at first but then I noticed how the device started to glitch on me multiple times and freezing for a good minute or two. I’m hoping I’m able to exchange it when more come in stock. It would be that i got a defective version but let’s see what happens when im able to exchange it.
Not Just Another Xbox Ally X As an owner of the original ROG Xbox Ally X, I wasn’t sure just how much of a difference the X20 would make. After spending time with it, I can honestly say this is much more than a special-edition redesign. The 7.4-inch OLED display is absolutely gorgeous. The colors, contrast, sharpness, and overall image quality are a noticeable step up from the LCD on the original Ally X. Playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 on this screen is an incredible experience. I actually found myself smiling during the opening mission because everything looked so good! The speakers also surprised me. At roughly the same volume as my original Ally X, the X20 sounds more immersive, with a wider soundstage that makes the audio feel like it’s surrounding you rather than coming directly from the handheld. Performance has been excellent as well. The device feels responsive and smooth, and with some graphics adjustments, I’ve been able to get Gears of War: E-Day running around 60 FPS at 17W while maintaining the 1080p resolution I prefer. The redesigned cooling system and updated software are welcome additions, too. The cooling seems to help keep the temps lower which allows better performance . The black-and-gold 20th-anniversary design looks fantastic, and the overall experience feels premium. The ergonomics feel fantastic. The buttons amd triggers feel so premium. Also, the rubberized grips added so much to the feel of the handheld. I still love my original Ally X, but the X20 has quickly become something special. If you’re expecting just another Ally X with a different paint job, think again. The OLED display alone makes a huge difference, and the immersive audio and excellent gaming experience make this feel like a genuine upgrade. If you are in the fence about purchasing the X20, don’t be. It’s well worth it. Absolutely worth it for me!
Complete Handheld pc but pricy - Oled screen looks great and all the upgrades are awesome.. a bit pricey though
Better than original Xbox ally x - I tested the original Xbox ally. Smoother and faster than that version .Feels way more premium than it. Not an off shelf Oled . Looks way better than my iPhone 17 pro max .
Awesome device - Best handheld on the market great battery life & overall worth the price
Great quality of life upgrade - I was honestly nervous buying this after trying the Xbox ally x, as there's a $300 difference with no performance upgrade. However, I can confidently say the x20 is worth the money. I wouldn't upgrade if I had the Xbox ally x, but for anyone new to handhelds or coming from the rog ally it's definitely worth it. The screen is much nicer than the Xbox ally x, the buttons feel a lot better, and it just looks awesome.
Top tier quality - Xbox special edition bought it before they sold out got lucky worth the 1500$
The perfect Ally - I always said the only thing the Ally X needed was an Oled screen, well.now its here.
Not worth the price - The pros are the screen and the new express micro sd slot and the new Hall effect triggers but they do not justify the price. The graphics card is the same as the Xbox ally x and the accessories do not transfer over so you’ll have to buy new ones Just buy the Xbox ally x
what an upgrade from the asus z1 extreme - i had the first asus ally with the z1 extreme so this is defiantly an upgrade for me the x20 feels good in my hands the screens oled is way better than lcd magnetic sticks that wont wear out. it runs the games i want to play the only thing that could make this even better is next gen apu than it would be perfect . if your into gaming and dont want to spend 2 grand on the msi g3 machine this is the one to get
ROG Ally 20th Anniversary!!! - It feels really good to hold in hand. Being my most expensive purchase so far it’s worth every penny, I’m really happy with how fast it moves, and has minimum lag or stutter when playing games, even when playing on low volume WiFi. All in all 100/10 And congratulations on 20 years to Rog Ally. For being my first handheld beside a Nintendo I’m really really impressed with how this turned out.
Best handheld - By far my favorite handheld console! Has so many great benefits. No complaints what so ever!
