Definitely blocks trackers but little User control - The Norton AntiTrack was easy to activate and start using. I was going to install it on my laptop but didn’t want to add yet another app to it or having to approve the large vat of websites I’m required to access for work purposes. Not sure why Norton didn’t integrate this software into its existing app interface and made it a standalone one. Since it’s only for one device, I installed it on my iPad. It’s easy to set up an account (if you don’t already have one), download and install the app, and activate it. Add the extension to the Safari browser and give it permission to track and you’re ready to go. The software does exactly what it says and quickly – blocks trackers and profiling, even for sites you use regularly. To see what’s blocked, just hit the Norton icon displayed in the browser’s address bar. You’ll see a report that outlines how many trackers were blocked, what categories fall under, and the level of tracking (High, Medium, Low, Fingerprinting). A Fix It button is also there if it’s something to be worked around so that the site might still work properly. You can see a history of these same details in the app, but that’s really the extent of what the app does. There’s really no way to control any features or settings of the software. Overall, it does a great job of identifying tracking and profiling. However, without being able to have a little more control over what’s blocked and what’s not and across all the browsers I use on one device, it’s not a software I’d keep buying without Norton making some tweaks.

Customer reviews
Write a reviewGreat concept and UI but fell a bit short for me. - Setting up the Anti-track was easy, I went to the Norton website, logged in and created an account. You enter the code you purchased and you start downloading the extension. This aims at blocking unwanted trackers and categorizes them so you know what’s tracking you. The concept is great but I’ve had plenty of issues. For example if you have multiple chrome accounts like I do for my business and my personal, it only allowed one extension instead of putting it throughout the chrome application, I figured this was done to keep things nice and tidy. I didn’t bother with safari but that was a bummer. I visited some of the greyest websites I could think of and found no notifications. I also turned off then uninstalled my adblocker that was previously installed as well. This didn’t change the outcome. Look, Norton is a big name brand in the security industry but this really put a dent on their credibility in my opinion. I’m just one case but this could have been an isolated incident. Regardless, their antivirus works well, just the anti track is missing some software tweaks here and there. Having an IT background I understand sometimes it could be user error which is why I’m giving it three stars. I had no UI issues, setup was super easy, and just because it didn’t work right away for me doesn’t necessarily mean it will be the case with everyone else.
Block the unknown - Norton Anti track is a great tool created by a reputable company that has been in the cybersecurity space for many years. Most people don't realize that every little thing you do online is tracked and a digital profile is being created based on your browsing. These digital profiles allow companies and data brokers to target you and even sell data. Some of this data can eventually be used maliciously against you in the future. Norton Anti track is a great tool that works with both Windows and Mac. Once purchased you can download the software using the redemption code sent to you by Norton. Once downloaded you add an extension to your browser which then seamlessly blocks tracking cookies and keeps your digital fingerprint hidden from the website. I have tried different anti tracking tools in the past however they all seemed to affect my browsing experience. Norton Anti track however works quietly in the background as if it was not even there. Once you open the dashboard however it is quite alarming to see the amount of trackers being blocked on a daily basis. I was shocked at how many attempts were made by everyday websites that seem harmless. Norton has done a great job in creating a tool to help conserve some privacy while browsing the web
Solid anti-tracking software - Norton AntiTrack positions itself as a simple way to cut down on online tracking and reduce how much data advertisers can collect while you browse. After spending time with it, the experience feels very much in line with what Norton tends to offer across its software lineup. It is straightforward, accessible, and clearly aimed at people who want better privacy without having to understand the technical details behind browser fingerprinting or tracking scripts. Setup is quick and largely painless. Installing the app and browser extension takes only a few minutes, and once it is running, most of the work happens quietly in the background. I appreciated that I did not have to tweak a long list of settings to feel like it was doing something useful. The main dashboard shows how many trackers have been blocked and gives a general sense of how often websites are attempting to profile you, which helps make an otherwise invisible problem feel more tangible. In day-to-day browsing, Norton AntiTrack seems to reduce basic tracking. Targeted ads felt less persistent over time, and the software consistently reported blocking tracking attempts across common sites. That said, the impact is more about incremental improvement than total anonymity. This is not a tool that makes you disappear online, and it does not claim to be. It focuses on masking certain identifying signals and limiting the most common tracking methods rather than stopping every advanced fingerprinting technique in existence. Performance was generally fine, but not flawless. On occasion, I ran into minor compatibility issues where certain sites did not behave quite as expected until the extension was disabled or refreshed. These moments were not constant, but they were noticeable enough to be mildly frustrating, especially when logging into accounts or navigating more complex websites. It is the kind of friction that privacy tools sometimes introduce, and Norton AntiTrack is no exception. The subscription model is also worth mentioning. While the annual price is reasonable for what it offers, it does require paying ongoing costs for functionality that some users may already partially get through browser settings or free extensions. Managing the subscription and auto renewal settings is something you need to stay on top of, especially if you are already juggling other Norton products. Overall, Norton AntiTrack feels like a solid entry-level privacy tool rather than a comprehensive solution. I see it working best for people who want a recognizable brand, an easy interface, and a noticeable reduction in everyday tracking without having to dive into technical privacy workflows. It does not replace a VPN, a secure browser, or more advanced anti-fingerprinting tools, but as a layer of added privacy, it does its job reasonably well. If your goal is to be less tracked rather than completely anonymous, Norton AntiTrack fits that role comfortably.
Works great - Norton anti-track security is a part of Security that no one ever thinks about. Since I’ve had some unfortunate events happen I’m taking extra precaution and protecting my electronics and my information. This product is easy to download. There is nothing tangible about it. Making sure you follow each step carefully registering your product. Your electronics is the easiest thing you can do for yourself. Especially if you’re on your computer all day long for work and play. Norton has been around for years so their product is tried and true. I don’t have any complaints and when it comes to upgrading or extending my subscription other than making sure I cover all of my devices I don’t have anything else to worry about. Some people overlook this whole process and it’s like insurance you don’t like having it or paying for it until you need it and then if you don’t have it, you wish you had it. So again I choose to be proactive and use the Norton anti-track. The installation took less than five minutes no hassle.
Not the Best - The Norton AntiTrack is designed to block tracking cookies and trackers in general. In my scenario I only used it on my iPhone as it was a 1 year subscription for 1 device. The app and sign in was easy and quick. Download the app and activate the service, make a login, activate the app for the phone and I was up and running. The app serves as a dashboard so you can see which website we’re targeting you and trying to track your information. The app does its job and covers up your “digital footprint” which you can toggle on and off in your browser. What I have learned during my use of this app is that it blocks me from websites I use. It wouldn’t let me login into accounts online and it really was a pain to use. Even toggling off the app still didn’t let me login to one of my online accounts. I thought it was the website, turned off Norton and I still couldn’t gain access. I deleted the Norton app, gained access to everything and never looked back. I can’t stand it when these services block me from what I need to do. I recommend you only use this app if you truly need to have your tracking data blocked. You may need to delete and re download the app when you need to access certain websites….i just don’t have time for that.
Had no idea the tracking was this bad - This is a product I wasnt sure I needed until I had it. I knew about cookies and other tracking means, but had no idea it was this prevelent. The intitial set up was easy using my existing Google account and a product key. Downloaded and installed with no issues. After the install it directed me to the Google Chrome add-on for Norton Anti-track. This also installed with no issues. I didnt install it on any other browsers because I only use Chrome. Once installed and after some browsing it immediately started finding sites that were tracking me. Even well known sites seemed to track more then necessary. I have a full year of Norton Anti-track and am glad I gave it a shot. Like I said this is something I didnt know I needed, but now get it. Just the piece of mind knowing these trackers will be blocked gives you a piece of mind while online that is worth it. I think this is a definite necessity for anyone that wants to remain as private as possible online. And Norton Anti-track makes it all as easy as possible. Glad I gave it a shot and recommend!
Stop annoying trackers - With today's web technology, everything is tracked. A person can't shop for an item without being spammed about it several times after leaving the shopping site. While it can be handy not needing to remember your shopping preferences, it's also annoying being reminded to complete your purposes. Spying on consumers has been prevalent for marketing campaigns. Notice that if you click on an advertisement in your favorite social media application, it will appear over and over again. That's where Norton AnitTrack comes to the rescue. I was shocked when I reviewed my dashboard after having this installed for just two weeks. This utility has blocked 182 attempts, and this isn't even my primary browsing device. It's shocking the sites that attempt to track us. To prove its integrity, it even detected tacking from its own website. I am using the browser extension for Microsoft Edge, and it blocks some sites that I want it to ignore. The fix is so simple to allow exceptions. There is an icon on the upper portion of the browser to manage the extension. There is an "Extensions" icon which will launch a "quick fix" window to automatically allow the current website through as an exception. This software will ensure privacy when browsing your favorite websites. Keeping your personal information to your intended sites is important, and this will help with protecting you.
Safer than ever - AntiTrack For Blocking Trackers and Protecting Privacy Online - Mac OS, Windows (Digital) it was easy to download & not to hard to set up, I’ve never done this myself always had my IT friend handle it all for me, was able to add multiple devices which took me a little time to figure out how to do, but I was able to add my different email address. I like the simplicity of the tracker system that shows you in categories of trackers that were blocked on different sites I browsed, shows fingerprint and top sites trying to track you. For a person that has had identity theft it does make me feel a little safer while I’m on line. I do have to figure out one issue that drives me crazy I don’t know if it’s normal but I get a bunch of pop ups I never got before, I never had any problems or issues with pop ups, the laptop I downloaded it to is strictly used only for documents and emails, I don’t use it for shopping or online browsing although I do go online to access the website I use for my work. I feel like it drained a little over 50% of my battery by the time it stopped. I didn’t have that issue on my other laptop so definitely looking into that. But would definitely recommend. Easy to create a Norton acct if you don’t already have one and it pretty much takes you step by step through set up.
Added to my iPad. Stops the prying eyes on my peso - So far I have been okay with allowing certain sites seeing my searches. But, I like the idea of having more control. Norton gives me that ability. I have noticed there is a lot more tracking going on than i thought. Behind the scenes Norton is working. It asks me if the site has permission to track my search. Most Wes store apps default to track your search. Even when you don’t know it. So, having the choice is much more important and valuable to me personally. I search for items clients need or have purchased for me to install or repair. After that, I don’t need the information. So, why should I be pestered by someone else constantly trying to get me to buy something I never will need. Cons: this is a subscription service so you have to decide for yourself if it is performing the service you need and want. Limited to five (5) devices, that may or may not work well for you. I own three (3) iPads, two (2) android phones, and multiple PCs bothe for work and for personal use. Bottom line, it just works.
Need This In 2025 & Beyond - There was a moment when I realized how much of my online life was being tracked — random ads popping up everywhere, sites pre-filling with stuff I’d only thought about — and that’s when I started running Norton AntiTrack on everything I use regularly. I’ve got it on my Windows Surface Pro (mostly in Chrome) and on my iPhone 17 Pro (Safari), and it’s honestly cut down the creepy follow-me-around behavior better than I expected. Once installed, AntiTrack goes to work quietly in the background, scrubbing out the little bits of data websites and advertisers try to collect. On the Surface Pro in Chrome, I immediately noticed fewer tailored ads and way less of that “oh, you looked at X” retargeting nonsense. Pages just feel cleaner — like I’m browsing without this invisible tail following me everywhere. On my iPhone in Safari, it’s the same story. I test a lot of sites and links throughout the day, so seeing a reduction in personalized ad pop-ups and cross-site tracking was a real eye-opener. The privacy score in the app gives a nice snapshot of where you stand and what’s being blocked, which feels more tangible than just “it’s working.” I also like that AntiTrack doesn’t break sites. Some privacy tools can go too far and stop functionality, but I haven’t run into reload errors or blocked content issues in either Chrome or Safari. Everything just loads normally — except without the trackers peeking over my shoulder. If you’re on a Surface Pro or iPhone 17 Pro and care about the digital trail you leave behind, this does the job without fanfare. It’s the kind of privacy protection you forget is running — until you notice you’re not being tracked as much anymore.
Norton Protection - In the modern day you are tracked everywhere you go, but this review is about the Norton Software which addresses tracking issues. Initially I had a difficult time retrieving my username log in and username information, I ended up creating a whole new account. Once I had gotten past that it was smooth sailing setup was a breeze and it doesn't take long to install. I used Windows defender for Anti-virus and Norton to remove trackers from doing what they best and that is keep tabs on you. Once installed it immediately installed the edge browser extension and that took like twenty seconds. It is fast and efficient only thing is I had to use another browser to visit certain sites because the software works a little too well. I need to find a way to either whitelist or turn down the protection. So what features does this version have? Well it is pretty straight forward it offers anti-tracking and also e-mail protection which takes things a step further which keeps the various companies from tracking and selling your personal information, that is a plus in my book. In total seventeen trackers were found on my device and it sends a report to you in whatever frequency you choose, I went with the default setting which is weekly. Norton also breaks down the category of trackers that trace your web identity. Overall this was a simple and nearly effortless task and thankfully I have one less worry when browsing the web, For this particular service it is solely one device so opt for the next step up if you are in need of protection for more devices.
Great privacy protection - When it comes to internet security, you have to take things extremely serious. From virus protection, all the way to anti-tracking, Norton has the product to help keep your devices, and your privacy, safe. The Norton - AntiTrack software is a great way to keep your browsing activity safe from "unwanted eyes." One of the greatest features is Norton - AntiTrack's ability to stop so many of those terrible targeting ads. I know we ALL hate it when you search one thing, and next thing you know, you are hit with one million ads of what you just searched. I personally find that extremely annoying. Another great feature of the Norton - AntiTrack is the ability to see who is tracking your data. You get a detailed report of the information. If you are all about privacy, you need Norton - AntiTrack. For the price point, you really can't go wrong. My private information is extremely valuable to me. Just the fact that it saves me from all of those unwanted ads is worth the price. I would definitely recommend Norton - AntiTrack.
Works with some flaws... - Longtime Norton/Lifelock security user, and thought this might be a nice compliment to the package. It does work, I'll start with that. It blocks ad traffic and shows the analytics on what's being blocked, how many times and which site. The browser extension is easy to use and installs seamlessly. The things I'm not totally impressed with are the following: - It doesn't integrate into the Norton 360 app. It seems like a no brainer that, if you are a current subscriber to the Norton product, that this would just be something within the app that you could activate. It's not, it's a separate app. - It doesn't give a ton of customization options, especially regarding notifications. It is CONSTANTLY putting a pop-up on the screen about signing up for private email. If I wanted that feature, I would use it. But I'm getting sick of clearing an extra pop-up constantly. And you can't turn it off! It might drive me to un-install this if it doesn't go away. - It alters the functionality of websites and requires you to know that you have to go into the app and ask it to fix the problem, or disable to blocker for that site if it still doesn't work. A lot of people won't know how to do that, and will think there's something majorly wrong with their computer/phone and just delete this app. Overall, the bones are there for something that would be helpful. But without being able to customize, without being able to get rid of the stupid email pop-up, and having to do a bunch of clicks to just log-in to a website, this falls short. I would not recommend it until these are fixed.
Simplified tool focused on Tracking. - Review of Norton Antitrack for Blocking Trackers and Protecting Privacy Online. The anti track for blocking Trackers and Protecting Privacy Online from Norton seems a simple implementation to a complex problem parse as is indicated in its own name. It is simple in a sense how it does is installing a browser extension that result of adding an extra icon on the URL field of the browser on the top, next to the browser extension icon. Previous to going in detail, the installation consist of downloading Norton Antitrack application, a separate one from rest of other Norton solutions. As result, for existing users of Norton, this mean a new app being installed. From the installed application initiate the installation of the extension on the browser, then need to setup the security access depending on the OS. In case of Mac OS or iOS, needed to grant Allow option. But after these, that conclude the installation and setup. Then based on website can opt to Exception to track, which would be added in the Exception List accessible via the AntiTracker icon (within its setup icon) from the Browser URL field on the top. Now how it does work, based the website opened, via AntiTracker icon can see if there is tracking or not. In case there isn’t, it shows the message “Tracking & Fingerprinting 0 Trackers found”. If there is, it shows a kind of dashboard that indicates: -Tracker Levels color indicator by High, Medium, Low / Fingerprinting -Total Number of Blocked on website name - Section that list Ads/Analytics and Total Count of number of blocked url of tracking companies Example from just opening Bustbuy.com list: Icon High - criteo.com Icon High - demdex.net Icon High - doubleclick.net Icon High - googletagmanager.com Icon High - adsafeproected.com Icon High - c.contentsquare.net Total Count 6 Social/Media and Total Count of number of blocked url of tracking companies Icon High - gstatic.com Total Count 1 These result is visible from the applications and list by time line period. As part of functionalities, for case of website is not opening properly, the tool give option to “Fix it” for “Site not working correctly”. And the option to “Allow tracking and profiling for this site” As result, in overall, the AntiTracker provides a comprehensive way to see and understand what and which sites tracking based on the url and site opened. Then a quickly actionable options as control of the tracking and the page being opened. What I wish it were better: 1. For existing user of Norton Security, the Antitracker is not part of the same application having to install second one or totally separate one. 2. Applying in multiple devices, there isn’t a central place to observe the tracking and privacy detection blocked at all the devices installed with AntiTracker. 3. After its installation, opening sites result some delay loading the page. Based on my test, it goes from 5 sec to 15 secs. 4. For the option “Fix”, if the page is loaded correctly, the button should be grayed out as Norton Application would detect it automatically. And enabled only when it is detected incorrectly loaded page. Otherwise, feels like always the page has not been working correctly. 5. The color indicator seems not supported for accessibilities as upon selection of color doesn’t show mouse hover like text. Aside of the above list of wish it work better, the tools is simple and comprehensive with simple analytics. To end, despite of the detection of blocked name being provided by the tool, personally not sure if really it has blocked and the data has not been passthrough. But otherwise, it is easy to use and give some idea of what is involved.
Nice VPN Enriched Browser! - The Norton - Antitrack browser was easy to download and install from the Google play store. I did not load or launch it from my computer. From a purely security perspective, it does a good job of restricting your options in terms of access to side features like a smart AI powered search option. On the good side, it seems to function more like a VPN embedded in your browser, which means that if you want to have a higher level of security you can connect with your favorite VPN and use this browser to block all of the trackers for more safety. Norton AntiTrack is fast and keeps a record of all the tracking cookies and software that it blocks. What I like best is that it blocks ads and 'pop-ups' in addition to securing your browser connections. I used it for secure shopping instead of using store apps. Because of the protective functionality, the AntiTracking browser does a good job of protecting your payment information from being accessed during the shopping and payment process. So, if you don't like downloading a variety of apps to bank, shop or access your accounts, this product makes it easy to log in from just this one secure browser plus a VPN. That means you don't have to store your payment information with the merchants you trade with. You can simply use the secure payment process built into your phone and pay through the Norton AntiTracking browser. I gave this app only 4 stars because I was hoping that it would integrate with or plug in to my existing browser, but that is not the case. Otherwise it works well. Please note that as a member of the Best Buy Insider Network, I received a complimentary instance of this software in exchange for my review.
Puts an end to trackers, great security - I'm constantly forced to consider what happens to my data now that I've become so comfortable shopping online, getting news, and interacting on social media platforms online. It's been quite concerning when I'm thinking of something or a topic and happen to be scrolling online and see ads for the very thing I was thinking about. I needed to take some control back and decided on the Norton AntiTrack software to see who's caching my data. Installation was easy, loading and running was fast. I started an online session and noticed immediately, sites were loading faster, not a lot, but noticeably. The surprise came at the end of my session about an hour later, when I pulled up the Norton app and noticed how many times sites like MSN or Amazon were attempting to track my movements on their affiliate sites, trying to establish a digital fingerprint of me so they could insert ads in my media feeds and sidebars. Not to mention, selling that info to other sites to profit from my surfing data. It really opened my eyes to the level of privacy intrusion surfing the web causes. You think you're in the comfort of your home thinking about something and impulsively going online to search for it, and yet, the moment you log on, you're instantly pinged, tracked and fingerprinted. It's all in the background so you don't know anything about it if you don't have software like this that, not only tells you who's tracking you, but blocks their attempts giving you back control of your privacy. The only downside to this might be that some sites (like this one) don't load. It's easy to enable trackers for specific sites by using the extension in the header. Great piece of mind for your online privacy! Get it for all your devices, a must have.
Does what it says, but it's questionable. - You're being tracked constantly online. It's how you can do a search for something on your phone and then later that day pull up YouTube on your TV and suddenly you'll start seeing ads for what you searched for hours ago. Install was quick and easy. The program/browser extension is light and doesn't slow anything down. It gives you a log of everything that it has blocked that has been trying to track you. It tracks fingerprinting, which is the profile that websites build on you based on software, hardware, etc. It tracks/blocks ads and analytics (what you click on and interact with), social media (what you view/do outside of their websites, and shopping/browsing choices. Your digital fingerprint is who you are and what you like to these websites/companies. It's one way they make money. The track log can be filtered by today, 7 days, 30 days, 60 days and 90 days and breaks down how many trackers are in which category and what websites were using them. Going through this record is where it becomes questionable for me. Most of the list makes sense. It's from websites that I have visited. However, on the list is a website that I haven't visited in over 10 years, and another one that I've never been to. So, are they tracking me just from a Google search? Was there an ad for that particular website on a different page that I visited? I don't remember seeing any from those places. Interestingly, Norton says that they blocked 6 trackers...from themselves. Being that the entire product is about not being tracked, you'd think that they would be one company that wouldn't track you. I guess at least they're honest about it. You can set up an email mask that is a random string of gibberish/words at a @norton.me address. It's not something that I will use. My main email address is Gmail and anytime I just want to see a price or something that requires you to submit your email I just use an old Yahoo email address that I never look at. That way, any spam/junk just goes there instead of my main email address. Overall, I don't really think that it is beneficial enough to be worth it, at least not for me. We're all being tracked whether we like it or not. For example, my computer at work still tracks me, and because I'm tied to it and my phone as well, having it on my laptop at home is only really helping 1/3 of the problem. Obviously my company wouldn't allow me to install anything on their computer. Without having it on every internet connected device you own (phone, laptop, work computer, etc.) , you're not really doing anything.
It works fine but not really needed imo - Norton has been around for years and I’ve used their Antivirus software several times in the past(many years ago). And I thought hey why not try their anti tracking software right!? Well I’ve been using this software for a week now and all I can really say is that it works, you know because it pops up every so often even if you are playing a game which I do a lot. Not something I love as you can’t just click it away but you can turn off the pop up settings in windows I believe. It will show you how many things were blocked and that’s cool and all but and while browsing I didn’t see any slow down it felt a little snappier but hard to say if that’s placebo or not. I don’t browse on my pc a lot I mainly game on it and I shop on my phone like most people. I will say that these types of software do not bog your system down like they used to back in the day. So that is very nice to see. I did notice that I had to re log into a few websites after installing Norton antitrack. Not a huge deal but it is technically a cookie and this blocks those to help with the tracking. It is a fair price but personally after my subscription is done I don’t think I will need it. Again this works and is great if you browse on your pc and shop but for me it’s not necessary. But I’m glad at least I tried it and I know it’s not important for my use case. It might be useful to you.
It does what it's called and it does it well. - This is surprisingly useful to be quite honest. Now there are browsers out there that minimize trackers or even block them for you, however, this application that can support multiple browsers and provides a way to privatize your email has some serious value in my mind. It is also, just a tad bit scary the sheer number of trackers it blocks from a single site. The number one category of trackers that it blocked for me was ads and analytics, so if you ever wonder why your phone knows what you need before you need it every once in awhile, it’s because they are using analytics to figure out what you might want before you need it. I have found this useful all of one time, the rest really don’t like the idea of my every move being tracked and analyzed. I think the private email relay in some ways even hits on privacy in an even grander way. I am thinking of course of all the database leaks that have been happening, my email address has been compromised so many times at this point that I have to be careful with any email as the phishing emails are getting better every day. I absolutely love being able to create an email address that front ends mine so that if/when that database gets hacked, they have a pretty useless address. One site I did need, completely broke without trackers, but in the extension I was able to enable tracker for that site which fixed the site. Overall, I really appreciate the usability and added layer of personal security this adds. Yes, this is all possible to do with other solutions, however, those solutions are usually locked behind being a tad bit on the techy side just to be aware of them in the first place and I love how accessible this makes some basic security features that we should all be striving to add to our daily internet habits.
