Write a reviewWorks for reading CDs on Linux - I've used it to read and rip my CDs. Works great, no drivers, no hassle.
Useful for reading older disks - Since most computers don't come with disk drives any more, this is a useful device to read these old disks. I used it to read a CD from my dentist's office for x-rays, and encountered no problems at all
Terrific new laptop - I needed to repkace an old HP with a broken hinge with a new one. I am not a gamer but use MS office often. The sales associate suggested this one and I'm glad he did. Very pleased with performance and screen clarity.
Versatile product - Great product I can use it in my PC I can use it in my laptop and I can use it on my TV
Plays movie DVDs but not automatically - The player comes with software for you to write DVDs and watch non movie DVDs. If you want it watch a movie DVD the software and even windows media player will prompt you to pay an additional fee. There is an open source workaround. Otherwise set up and use are very easy and it plays everything smoothly.
LG DVD RW - THIS WORKS AS IT SHOULD TO USE ON CD OR DVDS AND ALSO TO RECORD
Review of portable CD/DVD/Blu-ray driver - The product performs beyond expectation. I would recommend this product
love it - great dvd drive， easy to use and installing! Fair price and best way let my mom use it too
Will buy again - I Bought this last year and it still works. Great product
LG - 8x External USB 2.0 Double Layer DVD CD Drive - Great working dvd drive for my laptop ease of use compatibility...
Awesome disk reader and writer. - This product reads and writes disk very easily. The speed is exceptional. The disk drive is very quite and is usb compatible.
Won't play DVDs - The word DVD is mentioned ten times in the description, but it won't play DVD's. You put them in and nothing happens. I did some research and you have to download software and pay an additional cost to get it to work. It should be plug and play.
GREAT VALUE EASY PAIR UP - Great value. It was great to find the device by the maker of my laptop. Paired easily and I was able to play DVDs that are over 10 years old and navigate through them as needed. I recommend this product for anyone who is not tech savvy and needs an external DVD/CD player with all the capability presented.
Greta value - This device is made of decent material, it’s not the high material, but what do you expect at this price point.the device works as stated. DVDs can be read from it and doesn’t make too much noise. It read all of my disks fine, and I was able to watch all of my movies on my laptop. It is compatible with VLC.i have tried ripping with this device but it would probably do it just fine.
Good product over all. - Could be made a little sturdier, but it works good and is small enough to stick into your purse or briefcase to take with you to use.
Great product all around! - Good product all around. It works with both CDs and DVDs which is pretty cool, you can even burn files onto CDs and DVDs! I don’t have much else to say, I would recommend!
Nice cd drive. - Very nice cd drive. It has work wonderful for 2 years with no problems. Since laptops no longer come with cd drives I bought this one.
Victor - Works well great price perfect fit best item love it
Basic functions, good reliability - I've been using this DVD drive for a while now and no problems to report. Love the slim size! Nice and reliable!
Worth Noting - Excellent for quick hook-up on PC when needing to review old DVD/CD discs.
