Amazing keyboard - I’m used to lightweight and bigger wireless keyboards (specifically the Logitech G613). This one, however, has changed my perspective. It’s the total opposite to me. It’s very heavy and smaller. The keys though, are amazing. It’s been amazing to game on. I use this for work and for gaming and nothing about it gets tiring. It’s a change for me but I feel most people don’t hastily choose a different keyboard and give it a bad review. I’ve been using this for over a year and wouldn’t choose another, right now. I use it simultaneously with my PC and MacBook. It’s truly amazing. I’ve recommended it to multiple of my coworkers and friends.

Best Keyboard I've Owned - For context, I went from an Logitech G915, and I hated the cheap feeling keys and presses. Then I went to a cheap Chinese mechanical keyboard by Huion, which felt worlds better at the fraction of the cost, but it had freezing issues. Now I'm on this keyboard, still going strong after nearly a year. To be clear, the keys feels great, but I do wish they felt a bit smoother or softer at the price? and perhaps I'd not choose this key layout again as I find myself hitting Numpad 0 instead of right arrow more often than I'd like. But would I recommend? 100% if you find it on sale. I'm unfortunately not someone whos tried a bunch of the newest enthusiast mechanical keyboards, so I can't say whether its THE best at this price. But the software and hardware is dang good and its frame is metal, not some cheap plastic.

End-game Keyboard - I am extremely picky with keyboards and tend to return the majority of them. This one I knew I’d keep in just a few seconds of using it. The keyboard feels premium, but without being too heavy. The switches sound nice and are not too loud or quiet. The keyboard is responsive and looks very clean in person. Literally zero complaints. Well, maybe a critique is it gets rather dusty. I also recommend the compatible Keychron wrist wrest (purchased separately)!

Awful - Charger has broke off into keyboard while I was trying to fix it not charging while plugged in haven’t had it for even a year

Good Keyboard, Sad Price - Honestly I love keychron, but i cant justify the price tag on this when there are more affordable and better options in the market.

In love with this board - If you’re into custom boards but don’t want to build from scratch, the Keychron Q5 HE mechanical keyboard hits a really satisfying middle ground. The build quality is exactly what you’d expect from Keychron’s Q-series—solid aluminum, zero flex, and a premium feel that holds up to daily abuse. What really stands out is the sound profile. This board delivers that deep, “thocky” acoustic character enthusiasts chase, without needing a ton of mods out of the box. It’s tuned well, and the typing experience feels consistent and deliberate. I also appreciate how easy Keychron makes it to personalize. Being able to grab additional keycap sets directly from them is underrated—I ended up swapping in a red ESC and Enter key, and it adds just the right amount of visual punch without going overboard. Between the typing feel, sound, and customization options, this is a 5-star board for anyone who wants enthusiast-level quality without the full DIY rabbit hole.

Keychron is top notch! - First off Keychron has always been quite the value proposition. They make keyboards range in all budgets and rarely do they not meet the price point. The Q5 HE is just barely larger than the TKL layout but gives you all the stuff most people really want from a Fullsize keyboard. First off you are getting a nice hefty all aluminum case, all the dampening foam you could want, nice gaskets to give you a firm yet forgiving typing experience and double shot PBT keycaps to finish it off. Not to mention the tri connections! USB, 2.4 and BT! I love that this keyboard fits in essentially the same space as a TKL but gives me the entire numpad! I still get my knob and a few extras above the numpad. You also get your "broke out" arrow keys, which while it looks cramped, is way better than arrow keys that are not walled off. I am not a huge fan of the keycap color way; its not bad, but I would have loved if I got the some extra keycaps to replace the red ones. Last but not least, you get HE switches! These are what I consider the future of keyboards. You get full control over actuation distance and retrigger. You can adjust .1mm of travel to suit your needs. You can do all customization from their web interface which is also great as its just one less piece of software to download and install. Its very simple to use and just takes a few seconds to navigate and save your preferences.

Amazing - Absolutely love this keyboard. The hall effect switches are amazing and the sound is perfect for a nice sounding but not to loud keyboard. Absolutely a dream to use and work with.

Great Keyboard, Annoying Issues - Love the keyboard, the feel, the typing, everthing. However it seems like my unit has some issues. It feels like there is random misses when typing. There also seems to be random activation of some keys when not touching the keyboard on my unit on keys I dont use for typing often. I've reached out to Keychrone for support so hopefully I can get these issues addressed. Would I reccomned? No not at this point. If I can get these issues resoved then yes 100%.

Noice - I really like the keyboard, it looks good, i like the switches.

Keychron Never Misses - Great keyboard, nice thocky sound out of the box! Cherry profile feels comfortable, shine through looks great and adds some functionality when playing in low light scenarios. Highly recommended!

the price is worth it - up to par with wooting 80he if you like a full size keyboard but want something versatile for gaming and work this one’s perfect sounds and feels amazing fresh out of the box endless customization

Keychron wireless Keyboard - My Engineering son loves this keyboard. Love the way the keys feel and the ease of the keyboard. Highly recommend other than the price. I think it is a bit pricey!

Constant issues and poor technical support - This is the second Q5 HE I've purchased at BestBuy. The first one completely stopped working after a month and BestBuy, fortunately, exchanged it for a new one. I've had constant connectivity issues that require toggling the keyboard between wired and wireless multiple times in order for it to connect to my system. The build quality and typing experience with this keyboard is fantastic and I do not want to return it again, so I reached out to Keychron customer support for a solution and have gone back forth for weeks with no resolution and constant repetitive questions and redundant troubleshooting tasks. The keyboard still does not function as advertised and still has issues. Best Buy has been great about supporting me and would likely allow me to return it, but I feel like Keychron should do a better of job of supporting their products, especially at this price point. TLDR; good build quality, connectivity issues, unreliable manufacturer, and poor customer support. Buy at your own risk. I won't be buying another Keychron product.

Perfection almost at scale - Wonderful keyboard that is the perfect size with the every button that I need and not a button more.

Perfect Keys - Really has made doing my job so much more enjoyable. Creates a great tactile experience. Wish that the turn knob were more easily customized through the keychron launcher.

The magnetic switches really provide a different feel to anything I've tried before, in a really good way.
