Insignia™ – SATA to USB-C Adapter for 2.5” SATA Drives – Black

Pretty darn great - I used this to erase a bunch of hard disks, it worked well. It’s not as useful for SATA solid State drives, because it doesn’t pass all ATA commands through. This is pretty typical for adapters, though, and not a point of contention. Going to continue using this going forward.

Exactly what I needed! - This works well and doesn't have any disconnection issues. The cable is also long enough.

Great for on the go so as long as the pc has usb c to connect a 2.5" drive to.

SATAHardDriveAdapter - I had two old laptops that I no longer needed, however, I wanted to keep both of the hard drives. Using this adapter I am still able to utilize both drives. I can access the data and save additional data to the drives.

Stoped working after the first hour. - Didn’t work at all and too late to get my money back. Light doesn’t even turn on

Cable works great - I used this to diagnose faulty drives and access files.

Works better than expected - Data transfer is faster than i expected. Have salvaged a lot of stuff from my old hard drives.

handy item - I repurpose my SSDs for backing stuff up--better than thumb drives, I still use mechanical drives too but this is faster obviously--I don't happen to like storing stuff in the cloud.

Easy to use, reasonably fast - Bought to recover data from an old HDD to my new computer and for that purpose, it worked well. Easy enough to attach to the old drive--pretty seamless plug-and-play functionality. Admittedly, I was not in a rush and happy to let the transfer process play out but I was pleasantly surprised by how smoothly the process went. And the price is really good.

Just what I was looking for - extracted storage from old computer, and this was just what I needed to connect it to my laptop as extra storage.

Simple but effective - Cost effective, simple and works great. A really great value what it's intended form highly recommend.

High speed data transfer and ease of setup - This was a great buy! I was able to handle my data transfer no issues. Setup was easy and problem free.

Good Adapter - Bought for my old PS3 Hard drive and it was simple hookup and was able to do what I needed to do!

Insignia™ - SATA to USB-C Adapter was defective - I bought the Insignia™ - SATA to USB-C Adapter to connect a new SSD internal drive to my laptop in order to make a cloned disk copy . When I attached the SSD drive and plugged it into the laptop USB port, it caused a continuous loud beeping sound and the laptop never recognized the drive. I returned the product.

Works great - Does exactly what it says at a great price and can be found locally. What more could you want?

Brilliant Buy. - Struggling to connect your old SSD'S and HDD'S to your new Mac or PC? No problem. Buy the Insignia USB-C adapter for SATA from Best Buy, and enjoy your old backups with ease.

Great cable - Connected to my SATA drive w/out an issue. Would definitely recommend.

Small but Mighty - I love the small size it's easy to put in a drawer doesn't take up much space. It saves me from having to open the case to test a drive. When I use it just does the job it was meant to do.

Replacement for different device that failed - I bought this to replace a different unit I bought on Amazon that had stopped working. This worked just fine.

A Good Value - Easy and convenient to use. I have found no issues with it and can find nothing negative to say about this adapter. It is a very cost effective way to use old HDD or SSD for external storage.
