Write a reviewGreat product - Great!!! Clear picture and easy setup and good deal
An Easy Way to Refresh Your Day - It took no more than five minutes to have this monitor out of the box, on the desk and, and in full operation. The box contains the full instructions on how to unpack the monitor, assemble and install the base, and set up the monitor on your computer. Don't be intimidated by the base assembly. It screwing in two small Phillips head screws. The base then snaps onto the back of the screen. My particular desktop set up severely needed a refresh as the monitor that would be replaced was aging. No more VGA connector needed. An HDMI cable was in the box. The monitor is light and very simple to move around. The picture is crisp and clear, and the blue light technology is said to reduce eye strain. The 24 inch FHD monitor offers 1920 X 1080p resolution. The monitor is a pleasure to use. For office work, this monitor is absolutely all you need. It is a cost effective and economical way to improve your everyday work product and experience. I am greatly enjoying the experience and highly recommend it.
Screen looks great! - I wanted a third monitor for a home office work set up and I did not want to break the bank. The Insignia 24” filled the bill and then some. First off the screen is really beautiful for it’s class! It is bright and vibrant. I did not expect that but when I set it up and compared it to the two other monitors it really looks great (see pic – the Insignia is on the far left looking at the pic). Speaking of set up, super easy. The unit itself is sleek and has a low profile. I will not be using it for gaming but you for sure could with the FreeSync. 60 to 100hz is kind of the standard so 144mh the insignia carries is very respectable. If you really want to set up a gaming rig, I’m sure you already know that 240-360 hz is the bench mark… But I digress. I also really appreciated the low blue light tech as well. Anything that eases eye strain the better. Overall, You can’t go wrong with this monitor. It looks great with a bright clear screen and is very versatile. They even throw in the cables! I have no complaints. Note: It cannot flip vertically if that’s important to you.
Affordable FHD - I think the best way to sum up my feelings on this monitor is "it's okay." It's not a piece of hardware that's likely to turn any heads or wow you with its specs, and I really don't think that should come as a surprise to anyone either. What it is is a straightforward, affordable display meant to do a singular job without much fuss. It's lightweight, bright enough for a variety of operating environments, and easily meets the minimum requirements for productivity work or 1080P gaming. Most of the tech is a bit older - which might actually be a plus if you're a retro tech enthusiast looking for something that still has native VGA support - but none of it's so old that it won't work with modern machines. The included stand is pretty unremarkable and truth be told will not put up much of a fight if someone yanks on the HDMI cable, but it also supports VESA mounting so 3rd party stands or monitor arms are still an option. And while FHD at this size is definitely going to let you see the pixels I didn't see any signs of significant ghosting, color distortion, or less than ideal viewing angles. In short: it is boring, but it also definitely gets the job it's designed for done without stretching the budget. And if that's all you really care about, I'd definitely say it's worth your time to take a look.
Good Picture Quality at an Affordable Price - This Insignia 24 inch monitor is great choice for someone that is looking for a good monitor at an affordable price. Much of my review is going to be tempered by the value to performance ratio that this monitor represents. My overall impression of this monitor is very satisfactory. It offers good picture quality and decent connectivity. What makes this model shine is great visuals. Colors are vibrant and sufficiently accurate. This is because It is a full HD 1080p resolution monitor that also offers a high refresh rate up to 144Hz. The high refresh rate makes this monitor useful for gaming. Brightness is limited to 250 bits, but this will not be a problem unless you are using it in an exceeding bright environment. Some limitations to consider are that there are limited ports. There is only one HDMI and one VGA port. Another factor to consider is that the stand does not accommodate height or swivel adjustment. The monitor can be tilted forward to the rear though. Despite these limitations this monitor is a solid choice for anyone that wants a full size monitor on a budget. The visual performance is great for the price, so I think most users will be pleased as long as their expectations are realistic.
Great desktop monitor at a great price point. - Insignia - 24" Class IPS FHD 144Hz Monitor with FreeSync Summary: Great budget desktop monitor. Use: We needed a second no frills display and one that was a bit easier on the eyes resolution wise. We paired this monitor with a laptop for use as a home work station laptop. This fit the bill just fine. The high gloss panel does make it difficult to use in brightly lit rooms, but this can be easily overcome with strategic placement. I would have chosen a matte screen if I had to replan my purchase. Pros: * Affordable. This unit is inexpensive. * Sleek. The unit is sleek and will fit in with most modern setups. The panel itself is super thin with most of it being as thin as a screw driver shaft. The remaining bump out is for the circuitry and connections. This also makes the unit quite light as in comfortably held with a single hand (though not advised with any electronics). * Controls. The controls for the unit are on the right hand rear of the panel. Surprisingly accessible and highly functional/ responsive. * Refresh. 144Hz refresh is good and works just fine for work use. * Packaging. The unit was well packed and arrived safely. Cons: * Power supply. The units power supply supplies 30 watts to the display using a proprietary connector. I wish they just used a USB-C connector and provided an appropriate USB-C power supply. This would make replacing the power cable easier were it ever to wear or fray. * High Gloss. The unit looks great, but the high gloss screen is a bit much. Using it in a remotely lit room (such as the demo space shown in the pictures) makes using it a little difficult. Thankfully, we're still working on the work station nook and it will be in a more secluded and darker space. * Connections. VGA port? Really? A second HDMI or even USB-C (lightning) port would have been better, though I'm not exactly sure how that would impact price.
PC Monitor - Good product, easy to assemble. Good picture monitor.
