HYTE – Y40 ATX Mid-Tower PC Case – White

High end gaming pc - I bought this pc case about a year ago and I’ve had absolutely no problems with us at all I would totally recommend the case not only for the price but the quality and functionality as well!!

Great - Awesome case! Looks great! And super easy to build in.

Upgraded to Red Hyte for more space - Love the color and look! Way more space to work with and still have plenty room and slots to add more components in the future.

Pc gaming - Loooks really nice , nice airflow and gpu mount make it looks cool

Great casr - The HYTE Y40 is a stunning, modern mid-tower case with panoramic tempered glass panels and clean lines that showcase your build beautifully. It includes a PCIe 4.0 riser cable, which adds value, and supports vertical GPU mounting for a sleek look. While the design is excellent, airflow is somewhat restricted due to limited front intake and reliance on side ventilation. It’s best suited for builds with efficient cooling solutions. Overall, it’s stylish and affordable for showcase builds.

Great smaller ATX fish tank case - Its a great cade to work with that has plenty of cable management space for your build. Best thing to do will be to replace the fans it comes with since they are 3 pin and will be a little noisy.

Amazing case - Great case not as roomy as y60 but still plenty of room for an easy build pure white really pops.

Pc case - The case look great. I do really recommend it if you want a see through your specs in your pc.

Loud fans, problematic riser card, shallow rear - I wanted to redesign and upgrade my secondary PC which my daughter uses for gaming so I decided to build out an all AMD rig with a vertical mount so she could play Hogwarts at max settings at 1440p. After much research, I settled on the Hyte Y40. It has turned out to be a decent case but with a few problems. Material quality is definitely a step above average and the case itself is very sturdy. Building in it is pretty easy and straight forward and I love that the front, top and back just pop off and on. One thing I noticed is the exhaust fan was very loud. No matter what I did outside of slowing it down greatly, it was audibly louder than all the other fans. I ended up removing it and the lower intake fan and replacing the case fan with an aRGB 120mm and the intake with an aRGB 140mm. Another issue is one many case makers make and that is a lack of depth in the rear of the case for thicker cables to lay down easily and snap the back on especially if you have longer/thicker cables, hubs, accessories or more. It's crazy what even another inch would do overall. Lastly, and the biggest problem, was the riser card. This was installed with an Asus B650 Prime motherboard and no matter what I did the card would not sit fully in the PCIe slot because it didn't have enough depth before the screw down slat was flush with the rear screw bracket and bottom latch. I ended up having to detach it and readjust it and let it float a bit to fit in properly and now the screw down portion is about 1/4" above the screw hole instead of flush. Doing some searches shows I'm not alone in this problem with the riser implementation and most likely it is a seating issue with the PCI card->motherboard. Some have also had issues with the actual GPU mounting too. Now that everything is up and running, I DO like the looks and visuals of the case very much and it turned out exactly like I thought it would but the loud fan(s), poor QC on the PCIe riser and yet again lack of cable depth in the back for easier runs has me on the fence overall with this case.

Y40 for the win! - best case for vertical mounted GPU, plentiful space for even the biggest cards to breath, second time using this case for a build and probably won’t be the last so long as they are available, a breeze to build in and looks amazing!

Easy to build in and looks great! - Roomy for a mid tower. Easy for cable management. Makes for a very clean build.

It’s alright - I liked that it came with a vertical mount for the gpu but wasn’t a huge fan of the design of the case. I really like the open concept of the H6 and H9 so I ended up going with that.

Amazing Case - I really love the look of this case, I really wish there was a bit more room for cable management but overall not bad. Also love the fact that this case allows you to vertically mount you GPU making it look even more amazing. Ive seen alof of reviews saying that airflow isnt this best in this case but in my experience I havent had any issues with overheating. Definitely recommend if you want a case that shows off your components.
