Great laptop, performs well - I've been happy with the overall performance of the laptop. It runs cool, even for heavy loads over long periods of time and handles everything I need it to. Downsizes: screen density is meh, I wish the screen was higher resolution but it doesn't bother me much. It's also relatively heavy, but manageable (and presumably gives better cooling)
Happy - Great product, excellent charge, lighting is perfect, easy to use
Very good - It works very well and it process my coding tabs súper amazing no lag and no crashes
Great Value, Performance, and Display for Price - I bought the HP OmniBook X 16" on sale (Open-Box) and have been thoroughly impressed with it. There was some online debate regarding 2K resolution on a 16-inch panel, but in person, the OLED display looks great—colors are vibrant, contrast is deep, and the 120Hz refresh rate is super smooth. Setting Windows scaling to 125% and using Dark Mode makes reading documents, coding, and remote desktop sessions crisp and easy on the eyes. Performance-wise, the Intel Core Ultra processor paired with 32GB of RAM and the new Intel Arc B390 graphics handles heavy daily work (Citrix, Teams meetings, coding, and email) along with light-to-medium gaming with ease. The build quality feels solid, the fans stay quiet during office tasks, and having a physical numeric keypad is a huge productivity bonus. At this price point, the value is tough to beat. Plus, having the 60-day return policy through my Best Buy Total plan provides great peace of mind as a safety net if any issues ever come up. Highly recommended if you catch it on sale!
Perfectioon - After finding this laptop in Open Box, I took the risk to purchase one labeled in "excellent" condition to save a substantial sum. It arrived one day early, and was exactly as described...reset to factory release, and in perfect condition. I am thrilled with its speed, clarity and software. This will be used for remote work. So wonderful!
Great laptop held back by one major thing. - Overall it is a great laptop, 32GB of RAM, 1TB SSD, OLED, and the Ultra X7 but in my opinion it is held back by one major thing: the keyboard doesn't have backlighting! While the keyboard itself works fine and does the job, I think any other laptop at this price range or below would have backlighting. Pretty terrible if you have to use this in a darker area.
Difficult Typing - I do not recommend this laptop. The design of the keyboard makes typing difficult. There is no space between the keys. There is no definition for each key.
Kept Crashing - From the first day I set it up 9/25/26, it crashed my external camera during every single meeting whether it was Zoom, Teams, or Google Meets, my external camera which is connected through my docking station, would crash. On 10/7/26 while in the middle of my work day, the laptop began to repeatedly and completely shut-down and reboot giving me a "The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck" message. When I finally got it stable enough to check the Reliability Checker, I found over 80 errors that day alone, and when I looked back historically, saw that it generated at least 10 errors per day during work days when I was using the laptop to work. LiveKernelEvent, VIDEO_ENGINE_TIMEOUT_DETECTED, BugCheck error (0x0000010E), were some of the errors generated. Thankfully I was still within 2 days left of my return window. That night I immediately purchased a ThinkPad and returned this laptop on Friday.
Excellent laptop! - Very impressed with this system. Snappy, well built and responsive. Would have loved to have had a fingerprint scanner as part of the system but Windows Hello works fine as well.
Super nice - excellent speed, excellent display , hight performance
Enjoying this laptop so far - I've been using this laptop for about 2 months now. Primarily using it for photo editing and minor, very minor video editing. Adobe Photoshop & Adobe Lightroom works perfectly with no hiccups or any lagging. The touchscreen I barely use, but it's a nice feature.
Evertyhing works so far, but... - The laptop runs quite fast comparing with my old one. I am a little worried because a couple of time the screen goes black and then said that need to reboot. Last week a it was a kind of BIOS updating, hopefully it fixs what was generating problems...
Great Laptop - I was an HP user for years, and then figured I'd try another brand because at this point they are all the same, right? Wrong! Back to HP, and the OmniBook X replaced the Spectre, both of which are FANTASTIC computers. This one has been AWESOME! It is lightning fast, with a must-have touch screen that can go brighter than I ever need it to. I love the keyboard and how it feels to type. I am so glad to have a normal 10-key number pad again. I don't really care much about watching movies or playing games, but I put it through its paces with video editing in my free time and multitasking at work. It is very common for me to have Word, Powerpoint, Excel, and Adobe Editor running while working through scripts and formulas in Google Sheets, and I often have 20 or 30 tabs open in several different browsers. This might not seem like much, but the last laptop I had couldn't handle it. Now, I can seamlessly move between apps and programs, open new ones, and I am not waiting several minutes for things to load. The only thing I would mark it down for a little (although I still gave it 5 stars) is the Windows Hello is not as robust as iphone. (yes, I use hp laptops and mac ipads and iphones, don't judge me) Sometimes it works instantly as I would expect, but many times I am required to type in my pin. Not a deal breaker, and I wonder if I need to reset it or update something? I read reviews about it being heavy... Well, it is a 16" inch computer with pretty good specs, so of course it is going to weigh more than your cell phone. No surprise here, but I have had NO PROBLEM carrying it to and from work. I was actually surprised by how relatively light it felt in the bag. They designed the bottom of it with a plastic lip that makes it easy to pull out of the bag when it is standing upright (see pic). I also saw reviews about the battery life, and I have been PLEASANTLY surprised by how well the battery holds up! I would love to give an accurate number of hours I get out of it, but I haven't paid enough attention. It at least lasts all work day, and probably even a couple of days. I don't let it just sit on the charger, and I have found if I am not using it for an entire 8-hour work day, I can pick it up several days in a row without charging it and the battery is still well charged. All in all, I am thrilled with this laptop and highly recommend it!
Great all-around laptop - The slap top will do anything you ask. I’ve done spreadsheets to gaming. It can do it all
Great laptop - Tgis laptop works great and the 32G of ram loads software quickly.
Beefy Machine - pretty beefy machine in the Windows environment, get the job done for the price point.
High performance laptop for video editing - The 2026 line of HP OmniBook with intel core ultra x7 32Gb ram and 1 tb of ssd works very well to delivery 4k video work, djing and Lightroom work with easy.
Great laptop for work and school - Better than what I expected. I am finally able to run many programs on multiple monitors without affecting performance. This is a great deal for school/work
Camera and Graphics Performance Issues - I bought this laptop two weeks ago and haven't had a good experience. The main problems I've been having are a faulty camera and poor graphics. The camera doesn't work. I thought it was a driver error at first, but Windows Support wasn't able to resolve the issue and redirected me back to the manufacturer. The graphics performance also hasn’t been great. It crashed repeatedly playing Skyrim and lagged heavily during Age of Empires 4 and Starcraft 2. It also sets itself to low quality automatically for most games. It's refusing to even start NieR:Automata. Although, it does run Celeste (16-bit platformer) and basic office work perfectly. I was originally recommended this computer because I need to work on some computationally heavy projects for college, but I barely even started the semester and have been having a lot of issues. Overall, the computer’s processing power felt less like a cutting-edge laptop and more like a school Chromebook. The battery is great though. It can go all day without needing to be plugged in. That part was seriously impressive.
I'm loving the touch screen - I use this at home for all of my personal and business needs
