Customer reviews
Write a reviewGames as well - It worked I still don’t trust gigabyte very well. After my other card I bought from them was a dubious quality.
About what you’d expect. - Works fine, about what you would expect from a 5090. The price is just the main downside. Overpriced currently but if budget isn’t a concern go right ahead.
Amazing - Absolutely beautiful, best card on the market would so buy again. Worth the money
Open box. Good experience. - Took a chance on an open box. Worked out great, no issues at all. The card is an AI monster. Not a huge upgrade over my 4080 Super for games but absurdly faster AI loads like Diffusion and Topaz and I only had to sell one kidney.
best card to buy - gigabyte is an absolute powerhouse built for high-end gaming and heavy workloads. It delivers incredible performance thanks to its 32GB of GDDR7 memory and next-gen architecture, easily handling 4K and even demanding AI or creative tasks. The cooling system is a standout—large heatsinks, multiple fans, and a vapor chamber keep temps surprisingly low while staying fairly quiet in the right mode. The biggest downside is the price and size. It’s extremely expensive and physically huge, requiring a strong PSU and plenty of case space. Overall, the TUF 5090 is one of the best GPUs you can get—overkill for most people, but amazing if you want top-tier performance.
5090gaming oc 32g - This is awesome. I am having the time of my life. I don't want to quit playing and find it hard to even go to bed
Unresolve Gigabyte rtx 5090 power connector issue. - The card itself is seemingly a winner, but the power connector is the pits, as is verified ad nauseam on the web. The 12+4 is unbelievably finicky and unreliable. Gigabyte Tech Support tried like crazy to help, but couldn't. Even though the plug seems to seat, it does not, so the machine posts, but with a black screen. The kicker, although the connector won't seat, it is almost impossible to remove. It rann intermittently, and when it did, it was unreal. Fearing a damaged board, I returned it and had to spend $600 more to get a 5090 that was available. Best Buy did not make any concessions.
That'll do pig, that'll do. - I scooped this up when I saw the ram prices were gonna skyrocket. At this price point it isn't worth it, but if you are able to find one reasonable go for it. It obviously runs everything I have maxed out. Msfs2024 I have set to high/ultra and with DLSS 4 I'm running a steady 80fps. Major upgrade over my 4080. If you need the vram go with the 7900xtx.
Best GPU for 4K Gaming - Blazing fast, good product with easy installation and setup. Just make sure you get a big enough case, and an anti-sag bracket. Very expensive, but great for future proofing the build.
Open Box Item Did Not Work - Purchased this item as Open Box from Best Buy expecting it to be fully functional. Unfortunately, it did not work out of the box. After installation and troubleshooting, it was clear the product was defective and had to be returned. Open Box items should be tested and verified before resale. This experience cost me time and effort removing and reinstalling hardware. I recommend thoroughly testing Open Box electronics immediately after purchase.
Big, powerful, quiet, but excessive thermal putty - Quiet and powerful. Large card. Scored 300+ points higher than average in 3DMark. The main downside compared to other cards is that this card has so much thermal putty. During long and intense usage, that putty can leak a bit. This is what happened with this card and the previous owner probably return it because of this. That's how I got it open box.
running cool and performance is very good. only downside is I had to pickup the card, there is no shipping option for me.
Powerfull - [Employee of bestbuy] The best gpu to ever come out and it runs games like crazy.
Top-tier performance! - This card has been absolutely amazing! The temps stay great and I can play anything that is available maxed out settings. If you can find one it is highly recommended.
Open Box Review - Bought Open Box - Excellent online. Works perfect, no issues.
Poor quality control - This review goes more against best buy QC than the GPU itself. I bought an open box on 11/30/25 at a discount and thought I got a good deal. It wasn't until I got it and it wouldn't turn on. Tried different PSU and PC but still nothing. When I returned it at best buy told me it had a different SKU number from the original and someone swapped it out. Including the vram chips. Be very careful with open box high end GPUs because it's a known scam with best buy. They hardly test return GPUs. Good thing I recorded unboxing in case they try to deny return. If you can't check out with pickup make sure to open the order at the best buy. Gotta cover yourself
Powerful, but annoyingly noisy - The card is perfoming as expected. But, it has egregious coil whine that defeats the purpose of my low RPM fan curve PC. Will probably return, as an exchange is almost impossible with stock concerns.
Love it - Amazing. Mostly used for AI models. Only down part is CUDA from NVIDIA still having issues on Tensorflow and Pytorch. Hopefully soon they fix it and we can run lastest AI models without issues. Gaming is perfect no problems
Swapped from 4090 to 5090 - Upgraded from a 4090 for VR gaming. Works well with no other changes to my pc.
