Refurb was fine - but don't trust fall detection - I was having some issues with balance and as a big Apple user I decided to get an Apple watch for fall detection just in case. Started with the SE3 and upgraded to this 7 in May 2026. I bought a refurb and it's worried it perfectly but for fall detection. Ironically it's alerted me when my cat knocked it onto the floor in the middle of the night (thankfully I canceled before an APB s sent) and even activated a couple of times when I was hammering something - not the type of activity I thought should set it off but at least it was confirmation it worked. Or so I thought. Then I had an actual fall, and since I have osteoporosis I could have broken a bone. Thankfully I was okay and the only thing damaged was my pride - then I realized my watch had not activated! I wear it on my right wrist and landed on my left forearm but I would expect a device to work regardless - who coordinates their landing based on where they wear their watch? Apple does have a disclaimer that it may not detect all falls but even so I think people expect better than this. And to top it off, I have found the feature sometimes turns itself off spontaneously. Insane! I'm going to have to get a pendant since I can't count on this. I recommend the watch SO LONG AS YOU ARE NOT COUNTING ON FALL DETECTION.

Nice watch - Love the watch but hate the fact that it doesn’t make it 24 hours on one full charge. That’s my biggest problem, otherwise it’s great.

LOVE MY APPLE WATCH! - I bought this Apple Watch because I wanted something I could use as a fitness watch. I had only ever used Fitbits before, so it took me about a week to really figure out all the ins and outs of the Apple Watch. Honestly, my granddaughter had to show me how to use a lot of the features! LOL Now that I’ve figured it out, I absolutely love it! My family especially loves that I have it because most of the time I don’t hear my phone ring or notice my texts—not because I’m old, I just don’t pay attention! LOL Having my calls and texts come right to my wrist is such a bonus. I love having all the fitness features along with everything else the watch can do. I’m so glad I made the switch, and I definitely won’t be going back to fitness bands! Great watch, great value, and I absolutely love it!
Nice watch, decent battery - The battery health was 74% upon arrival. I wasn’t expecting a perfect watch but was disappointed the health was so low. Ended up returning but the watch itself seemed nice. The face looked great, only evidence of use was the battery health and a slightly dingy band.

poor battery life - doesn't always sync to your phone... and the battery dies very fast needs to be charged at least 2 times per day
