Customer reviews
Write a reviewWorks great and provides much needed extra power. - There was a small issue getting it to fit in the Dell desktop case with the power cable not able to plug into the power supply because of a metal lip on the case, even though it was designed to fit for that pc. But not a big deal after minor alterations to the case. Working fine now.
Good power supply - Great power supply! It works reliably, provides plenty of power for my PC, and feels well-built. I would definitely recommend it. However, if you’re planning on making future upgrades, I recommend going with a 750W power supply for extra headroom.
a decent power supply, but changed for the worse - I originally bought a CX650M at BestBuy in Oct 2022. I used it happily for our PC until a storm and power imbalance took it out in August 2026. Until that point it had been cool and quiet; I was pleased with it. Shopping for its replacement I bought what I thought was the exact same unit; it was not. Despite identical model numbers, this supply has completely re-thought the non-modular cables for the worse. Originally it only had motherboard and CPU headers permanently attached - perfect. Now it has GPU connectors and SATA attached as well. This makes for needless clutter inside the case. If you have no video card, you still have to stuff these cables somewhere. If you have five SATA devices you need to get creative. I re-used an additional cable from the original supply. An improvement for some I suppose, but not for me. I simply wish they would have assigned a new model number. The current situation feels a bit like bait-and-switch.
Awesomeness! - Never skimp on the psu! This is what runs the whole system so don't be cheap!
Reliable and cheap - The title should speak for itself regarding quality of the product.
Working Great - It works great for my new media sever build. The small form factor and semi-modular design is great for mediem and older cases.
Corsair 650watt - Have no problem with it what so ever. Its works with no issues.
POWER SUPPLY - works good love it so much great item make sure to buy
Corsair = great products - my older pc along with the main large plug has another motherboard 4 pin plug I thought this unit was not compatible but talked to a PC builder and he showed me the power supply has an 8 pin plug that also works on the the 4 pin connection. The plastic housing has a specific shape so you can only put it on one way the correct way. If you have an older motherboard like me this info might help. The only thing this power supply was missing is a small plug for my optical drive but I guess a lot of computers do not have optical drives now days or maybe the plug style has changed.
Great power supply. Replaced my dead one, and should be good for my next computer if I ever close to upgrade. It's funny that I have never heard about the cybernetics rating system even though I am somewhat of a PC nerd.
CX650M Review - the CX650M is a great choice for anyone looking to buy a mid-tier power supply for their custom computer. Haven't had any issues with it thus far and it works amazing.
Good cheap option - Great item exactly what I needed and works perfectly.
ATX 3.1 Power Supply - Exactly what it was meant to do. Perfect. Easy install.
Computer - Works good use it every day. Great for what I need
Does it's job. - My old power supply died unexpectedly so I got this to replace it and I have no complaints so far.
Great Value Power Supply – Reliable and Quiet - I purchased the Corsair CX650M for a mid-range PC build, and it has been an excellent choice. The semi-modular design made installation easy and kept cable management neat, while the overall build quality feels solid and trustworthy. It delivers stable power with no issues during gaming or heavy workloads, and I haven’t experienced any shutdowns or coil whine. The fan runs very quietly, even under load, and the 80 Plus Bronze efficiency offers a good balance between performance and energy savings. The cables are high quality and long enough for a clean setup in a standard ATX case. Overall, the CX650M is a reliable, well-priced power supply that I would gladly recommend to anyone looking for dependable performance.
