Customer reviews
Write a reviewLight and Super Responsive - Perfect for competitive gaming when every second counts
Good mouse - Great mouse it hasn’t given me any issues whatsoever.
it alright - That's really it, it costs a lot, too much money, too much rog
Amazing overall mouse - Although mouse shopping can be extremely personal, there are some things are are universally true for all. The grime buildup can become disgustingly unbearable to constantly clean. This mouse, for whatever reason, seems to build up less compared to other mouse I’ve tried. Although this part of my experience may be more personal, the simple look and especially feel of the mouse is something I can truly appreciate. The battery life is great and can appreciate how light it is.
Good mouse - Lightweight mouse with comfortable grip and fast reaction and simple installation
Best gaming mouse ever - Very great for big enough hands and small hands, palm hybrid grip 10 out of 10 recommend
Great lightweight mouse - Not only is this mouse incredibly light, it also has rgb in the scroll wheel. A spot for the usb dongle inside the mouse so it doesn’t get lost AND Bluetooth while being one of the lightest mice I’ve ever tried
Perfect - I got 2 of them and It is very light and has good battery life. Perfect for gaming and regular surf.
Worth the money - For quick games and pvpe games very worth it. I’m happy
Great Mouse - I have to say I have many different mouths and try a lot of one thing I like about this when you said not as much software if you have a products already, you probably have the software already installed. I’ve had zero problems with it. It seems very fast responsive the battery life seems to be great. I’ve tried both wired and wireless and can’t tell any difference. I use it primary play games as stated it’s a great mouth. I would recommend it to anybody.
Precision Meets Effortless Comfort - The ASUS Harpe Ace 2 stands out with its featherlight design, making every movement feel quick and effortless without sacrificing durability. Its high-precision sensor tracks flawlessly, giving you the confidence to react instantly in fast-paced games. The crisp, responsive clicks and smooth glide create a premium experience that feels consistent from the first match to the last. Long gaming sessions are comfortable thanks to its ergonomic shape and impressive battery life. If you're looking for a mouse that blends speed, accuracy, and comfort, the Harpe Ace 2 is an easy recommendation.
Best Gaming Mouse on the Market! - I wasn’t a gamer at all, I bought this mouse and PC and I have gotten pretty good playing games on a PC because of this mouse instead of a Ps5 controller
Best gaming mouse - Lightweight and looks great. The res really stands out and fits great in the palm of your hand.
good mouse but it was very similar to v3 pro razer
Great purchase. Feels great! - I loved the color on this mouse. Its sleek design gives it an edge on its competitors. I would recommend this mouse to anyone looking to update their setup. The connection is easy and it is worth every penny!
Lightweight, simple, good configuration software - I'm going to open this by saying that my initial experience with the mouse was a bit rough. Until I updated the firmware on the mouse and dongle, I kept having an issue where it would aggressively go to sleep and lose connection from the computer until fully power-cycling it. This problem went away as soon as I updated, so I'm going to highly recommend that you do this as soon as you hook the mouse up to your computer. Speaking of software, I was expecting the mouse to be adjustable through Armoury Crate, but no - it uses a web tool called Gear Link instead. Armoury Crate actually will just redirect you to Gear Link, it doesn't even load an onboard version of the tool - I kind of wish it did, but not a big deal. This has some interesting implications - namely, if the tool runs through Chrome this means it should work on Linux. I don't have a bare-metal Linux machine to test this on at this time, but considering the rise of gaming systems that run on Linux I think this is a really good thing! Especially as I believe settings appear to be stored on the device. This should also be helpful for using the hardware with systems that run on ARM and tend to have problems with drivers not supporting them. As far as the mouse itself goes, rather than the software that allows you to configure it, I overall like it. The shell is a bit of a magnet for oil, so you may want to clean it regularly, but I've got no other complaints. The USB-C port is at the top of the mouse and not sunk into it, so any cable will do if you lose or break the provided one. The holder for the dongle is much more secure than it looks - I actually had trouble getting it out. The scroll wheel and switches are fine and responsive, and the mouse glides smoothly enough across the surfaces I've tested it so far such as glass, wood, mousepads, and bedsheets. While I think it would have been neat if the ROG logo lit up, it's honestly a lot smarter for the RGB to be in the scrollwheel - that way, it'll be in a place where you can actually see it instead of a spot covered up by hands. The battery life is pretty good even despite the RGB - I haven't needed to charge it after quite a few gaming sessions, and when I checked Gear Link before writing this review it showed my charge was at 93%. Bluetooth, the dongle, and wired have all been pretty responsive after doing that firmware update I mentioned earlier, and I haven't really noticed any issues with latency or missed inputs. There aren't a ton of buttons, but you can set a key to give buttons secondary functions. Overall, I like this mouse, and I would absolutely recommend it as long as you like lightweight mice and don't need a whole ton of extra keybinds on your mouse.
A perfect pair for your ROG gaming laptop - If you enjoy Matryoshka dolls, the unboxing of this mouse is a great experience. Each larger box that the mouse is wrapped in reveals a smaller, lighter package. Until you reach the mouse where you discover a surprisingly comfy sock to the touch mouse that performs as well as it feels with your hand wrapped around it. The mouse ships with a second pair of rubber feet and an optional RF adapter that supports both USB-C and USB-A connections. The mouse supports Bluetooth, Rf, or wired pairing. The included USB cable is a braided USB-C to the mouse and USB-A to the computer. I have big hands so I love what I would describe as a elongated design which feels like the correct a count of grip and balance without bending my wrist in award angles. Coupled with the feather-like weight of the mouse it makes for a comfortable experience. I don’t make money playing games, so I can’t speak to the how 42,000 dpi or Speednova is going to make the difference between me winning my formula war with Microsoft Excel, but I can say that the scroll wheel works great for my daily countless scrolling through junk email. I hopped into my normal crop of daily distractions: Age of Empires, Tomb Raider, Fortnight, and GTA IV and found a pleasant experience using the mouse. I’m pairing the mouse with an ROG gaming laptop. I was happy to see Armory Crate integration between the mouse of the computer. While this mouse supports configuration without requiring the installation of additional software I just like having a central control app for the entire experience. Overall I’m glad to have this mouse as my daily driver for my long computing days.
Not quite as good as Razer, but very close - I always like to test and use numerous gaming mice. I've tested and used mice from Corsair, Razer, SteelSeries, EVGA, Logitech and more but never Asus so I decided to give the ROG Harpe II Ace a try and see how it stacks up. For reference, after numerous comparisons against a plethora of gaming mice in my collection, my current favorite mouse is the Razer DeathAdder V4 Pro Wireless which I have been using for quite some time now. In classic Asus fashion, the box has the trademark Asus red and black colors and since this is a ROG Strix model, inside you get the mouse, polling enhancer/dongle, USB-A to USB-C cable, some swag (stickers), and replacement skates. Visually, I like the all black look with the only touch of RGB being the scroll wheel. In a nod to Razer, Asus now uses a USB-A to USB-C cable which connects to the polling enhancer which you then plug your dongle directly into. When you need to charge your mouse, you can just unplug the Polling Enhancer/Dongle combo and plug the cable right into your mouse to charge and use while it charges back up. In a pinch, you can just plug the dongle itself directly into your PC. This takes it a step above Razer's system in that last aspect. Setup is easy and I am really liking Asus not requiring Armory Crate lately for hardware setups. No longer do you have to install the massive array of Armory Crate modules. Instead, using their GEAR system, everything from firmware updates to configuration is setup via a quick web interface. This is such a move in the right direction in every way. Note, it does not work with Firefox. I had to switch to Edge to get it to work. There was a firmware update needing to be installed and the Asus system is a bit tricky so make sure you have your mouse plugged in wired to your PC along with your dongle via the polling enhancer connected to another USB-C cable and then launch the firmware update software and it will recognize and update both. I opted to use the Harpe Ace for a few days as my main driver and then my wife used it for a few days as her main driver to see how it compared to her EVGA X17 wired gaming mouse which is her favorite. TL;DR I'm sticking with my Razer DeathAdder but she opted to switch to the Asus Harpe Ace as her new main driver. The Harpe is a bit too low profile for me as I have big hands. I also found it seemed just a tad less smooth and the button clicks weren't as solid. For day to day use, it was excellent and even though it didn't match up with my Razer DeathAdder, it was still a very competent gaming mouse. On the other hand, after a day of gaming with the Harpe and going back and forth with her EVGA X17 gaming mouse for another day she let me know she would be retaining possession of the Harpe and never wanted to see the EVGA mouse again. In her own words, she liked the more contoured shape. It was much more responsive and ergonomically better for use. The mouse clicks were not only more responsive but more firm and definitive. The more World of Warcraft she played with it, the harder it was to switch back the EVGA even for comparison testing as it suddenly aged overnight and now was cumbersome, had less responsive button clicks and "jumpy" when flicking about the game in comparison to the Asus Harpe Ace II Wireless. In the end, it is a very solid mouse and if I didn't have my Razer DeathAdder or Viper on deck, I would most certainly switch to it over my previously shelved Corsair, Logitech and EVGA gaming mice it's that good. For the price, it is a solid buy.
Solid mouse! - I have had this Asus Ultralight Optical gaming mouse for over a week and I absolutely love it! There are a lot of great qualities about this mouse. First of all, the mouse is large but is still light. I like the fact that the mouse is large as it makes it more comfortable for my larger hands. I also really like the way that the mouse feels. It feels really solid and like it won’t slip from my grip. I am also super impressed by the battery life. With the week that I have been using this, I haven’t had to charge it once even after several hours of use. The inputs feel very solid but not too light where I’d accidentally double click. I’ve been using this mouse without using the software and so far I can say that it's incredible. I do feel like the software is useful especially for those who use a specific DPI. I’m also very glad that they added additional grips and feet for the mouse in the packaging. Asus has made sure that you get the complete package when you purchase this mouse. Overall, I am extremely satisfied and I highly recommend it if you are in the market for a new gaming mouse that won't break the bank.
