Excellent High-End Gaming Keyboard - The ASUS ROG Azoth 96 HE combines excellent build quality with an incredibly smooth and responsive experience thanks to its magnetic Hall Effect switches. The 96% layout gives you all the functionality you need while keeping a clean, compact footprint, and after using Hall Effect, I can’t see myself going back to traditional mechanical switches. It’s a premium keyboard, but if you want something that feels fast, refined, and genuinely enjoyable to use, I highly recommend it.

Customer reviews
Write a reviewExcellent build quality - The build quality is very impressive, the keyboard looks and feels very premium, it is very customizable without need for separate software installation (it's done online through ROG Gear Link), it has an insane wireless polling rate of 8000Hz which makes wireless feel just as fast and lag free as wired mode, the battery last a very long time too, so no need to constantly charge it, I really like the 96% form factor, in my opinion is the sweet spot for compact feel but without compromising functionality, I like that it has a full numpad unlike other compact keyboards. The three connection modes switching is also very useful and seamless, specially in multi-device setups, I often switch from wireless (2.4GHz dongle) for my desktop PC to Bluetooth for my laptop or my Steam deck.
Awesome Keyboard - This keyboard is awesome. I was very skeptical of buying an expensive keyboard but it was well worth the money after using the keyboard for a day. This keyboard is very high quality. It’s heavy and sturdy which I really like. The kickstands on the bottom flip out nicely and snap into place to tilt the keyboard to your liking. The keys feel nice and the OLED screen is pretty awesome. Once you figure out how to use the keyboard and the OLED screen, the custom settings are awesome. I was able to adjust the key actuators a little bit so when I type I wasn’t accidentally typing random letters by a slight touch of a key. Connecting to Gear Leak was super easy and it allows you to customize everything in the keyboard and do software updates. I easily changed the animation of the OLED screen and the colors of the keyboard. All I can say is I’m never going back to a cheap low quality keyboard. I’m very happy with the purchase of the ROG Azoth 96 keyboard. The keyboard comes with three translucent keys which look awesome and were very simple to swap on the keyboard.
A Keyboard That Checks Every Box - The ROG Azoth 96% feels incredibly solid and premium right out of the box. The typing experience is smooth, responsive, and satisfying for both work and gaming. The 96% layout gives me plenty of functionality without taking up unnecessary desk space. The customization options and OLED display add a great level of personality and convenience. Overall, this is an excellent keyboard that looks great, performs flawlessly, and feels built to last.
Best Keyboard Ever! - This keyboard gives the best of both worlds. Its a fantastic keyboard for gaming and large enough for productivity. The OLED screen is amazjng and you can customize it with your own images. Highly recommended! I wont be going back to a smaller 65% keyboard
Too expensive $200 should be the max price - Built quality is good but I didn't like the caps and the back light is soo dim even at 100% and it is only for letters not on between caps. Price should be $200 max because of the built quality and over all experience.
Great keyboard - I have a hooting 80HE but need something a little bigger with more keys but most of companies only have magnetic keyboards up to 80%. When I saw this Asus magnetic keyboard with 96% I instantly got it. I liked the keys because they are a little larger than the Wooting and require less force as well. I am really enjoying the keyboard so far.
Great keyboard but not for the price point. Keys are wobbly and there were only a few key caps to swap out.
Great Keyboard - Love the smaller size and the ease of use. They key action is fantastic.
Best Keyboard Ever! - What else can you expect from the greats over at ASUS! An exceptional, high quality keyboard; as premium as you can get! I’ve gone from Razer to Corsair to HyperX to Steelseries and this felt like a whole new tier!
Did not work, well - Let's start with the lights, they work fine. That is about it. The keys are so sensitive you can not touch them. After adjusting them in the software the restarting the computer you have to go in and set the key stroke depth each time. The volume control did not work. The small display kept fuzzing out then resetting. Overall horrible experience for a $300 keyboard.
High Build Quality - Premium feeling. A little less than $300 is the sweet spot for this keyboard. I think this one is worth than the 20 year anniversary version.
Love the Switches - Bought this on impulse because I wanted a new 96% keyboard and I like ROG and let me say that this key is 100% worth it, I swear it is one of the best keyboards in the market every keystroke feels amazing and I love the ability to change the actuation point of them. 10/10 would buy again.
Good Keyboard/ software lack - The ASUS ROG Azoth 96% HE is a premium gaming keyboard with a lot going for it, especially if you want Hall Effect switches without giving up the convenience of a nearly full-size layout. The build quality is one of the first things that stands out. The keyboard feels dense, sturdy, and well put together, with very little flex. The 96% layout is also a great compromise because you keep the number pad and most of the keys of a full-size keyboard without taking up nearly as much desk space. The ROG HFX V2 magnetic Hall Effect switches are the main attraction. They feel smooth and responsive, and the adjustable actuation gives you much more control over how sensitive each key is. For gaming, features like rapid trigger can make movement and repeated key presses feel noticeably faster. At the same time, you can adjust the keyboard for a more traditional typing experience when you aren't gaming. Typing quality is also very good. The keys have a smooth feel, the board sounds surprisingly refined for a gaming keyboard, and it doesn't have the cheap or hollow sound that you sometimes get from mass-market mechanical keyboards. Wireless connectivity is another strong point. Having the flexibility to switch between wired, 2.4 GHz wireless, and Bluetooth makes it easy to use the keyboard with multiple devices or keep your desk free of unnecessary cables. RGB customization is extensive as well and fits nicely with the rest of the ROG ecosystem. The biggest downside for me is the software experience. ASUS gives you a tremendous amount of customization, but getting everything configured can sometimes be more complicated than it needs to be. When the software and firmware are cooperating, the keyboard is fantastic, but troubleshooting connectivity, firmware, or device-detection issues can take away from what is otherwise an excellent hardware experience. The price is another consideration. This is definitely a premium keyboard, and you're paying for the Hall Effect technology, wireless connectivity, build quality, customization, and compact full-size layout. Someone who only needs a basic mechanical keyboard probably won't get enough value from all of those features. Overall, the ROG Azoth 96% HE is an excellent keyboard when everything is working properly. The hardware feels premium, the Hall Effect switches provide excellent gaming performance, and the 96% layout gives you functionality without taking over your entire desk. The software side could be smoother, but the keyboard itself is extremely capable. **Pros:** Excellent build quality, smooth Hall Effect switches, adjustable actuation, rapid trigger, nearly full-size 96% layout, strong wireless flexibility, customizable RGB, and great typing feel. **Cons:** Premium price, ASUS software can be frustrating at times, firmware/device detection can require troubleshooting, and many of the advanced features may be unnecessary for casual users.
Quality keyboard - You can feel the built quality of this keyboard, aluminum casing from the top to the sides. I like how there's a web UI so I don't have to download the Asus crate software.
decent end game keyboard, already my second set. - This was a decent keyboard for daily use and light gaming, the rapid trigger is fully customizable over just web based setting, without the need of a slow proprietory software. The drawback is that you have to manually set the trigger point to prevent it from typping mulllltiple sset of lettters(just like this!) when office working! and the single key RGB is still exclusive to the ASUS armoury crate software unfortunately.
decent hybrid keyboard - The feel was good, it's nice that ASUS finally bring the colored OLED from azoth extreme onto Azoth 96he, the downside is that the lighting was not fully customizable in the gearlink, and the rapid trigger settings sometimes revert back without any notice. But apart from these, this keyboard feels ok, Been a little overpriced but still qualify a end game keyboard for me.
Good almost great - Very good overall, not missing any feature at all in terms of gaming needs or aesthetics. The only fault and ultimately why I retuned it is because at the initial price point (has gone on sale since) the build materials are not what one should expect from near 400$ keyboard. I own the azoth extreme and while it is more expensive it blows away the quality in terms of materials and appearance. I understand it’s more $ but the idea of “premium” should always feel that way. Cheap 90$ keyboards are putting full aluminum cases on boards now with nicer keycaps…it’s hard to justify but still a very good HE keyboard…switches could’ve been a bit better as well a bit clacks compared to other high end boards like wooting (cheaper not wireless/way better overall).
Great Keyboard but not the price - I believe the build quality is so good that it is heavier than anything else with the same specs. It does everything but the price is not worth the 350 price but i did get it on sale. Connects with everything and has a profile for macs as well.
Good keyboard, maybe a bit overpriced. I wound up retuning it and getting the more expensive Azoth Extreme 75%. More cost less keys but the typing experience is unmatched outside of custom keyboards and the look and feel are much more premium. This board has a lot of plastic for approaching 400$. If you absolutely need the numpad this is a great option.
