Customer reviews
Write a reviewGood CPU - Really nice and valuable chips!!! Perfect for gaming and AI.
This product is amazing - What i like about the ryzen 9 7900X 12-Core is that my computer is running slicker than butter. fats processing speeds and my pc is running a whole lot cooler as far as temperature.
best case for buck - have the best airflow for a micro atx performance test had been done an the cooling system have be cooler
#9 coming up - Amazing, this thing is a hot rod. Can handle anything you throw its way.
Amazing - Worked for over a year so far! It’s amazing! Speed is great and never lag!
Really great product - Best for ever thing I needed it for 100%loved it please make more
Unbelievable multitasking speed - This processor handles intense compiling tasks and heavy multitasking without the slightest hesitation. It dramatically reduced my workflow bottlenecks. It does run warm under sustained loads, which is normal for this architecture, so utilizing a high-quality liquid cooler is highly recommended.
Great - Performs as expected, fast, no issues yet. Satisfied with the purchase.
Bad with 64 GB Ram - The 7900x has been a true beauty, for a year and (about) 4 months. However, I have had frequent memory retraining cycles, even when I have been operating RAM under it's capability. The IMC in the CPU is unstable for higher end RAM and has failed frequently, recently. I got a warranty on everything in this PC, except for this and the Mobo. Nothing else has failed. Certainly, I had a great time with it up until a certain point! But if you want to run 64 gb of RAM, for whatever you are doing... This is not your guy.
Best swap choice ever. - Works really great, wish i had swapped from the intel i9 a long time ago, ive had no issues what so ever since purchasing it. Highly recommend.
Runs Hot - The AMD Ryzen 9 7900X is a very strong processor if you want a high-end CPU that can handle gaming, productivity, and heavy multitasking without going all the way to the most expensive options in the lineup. With 12 cores and 24 threads, it has more than enough power for gaming while also being excellent for workloads like video editing, streaming, virtualization, coding, rendering, and running several demanding applications at the same time. Everyday performance feels extremely responsive, and there is plenty of headroom for more demanding tasks. Gaming performance is also very good. While there are newer or more gaming-focused CPUs that may produce higher frame rates in certain titles, the 7900X is still more than capable of powering a high-end gaming system. Paired with a strong GPU, it delivers smooth performance without feeling like the processor is holding the system back in most situations. One of the biggest advantages is the AM5 platform. You get support for newer technologies such as DDR5 memory and PCIe 5.0, while also having a platform with better upgrade potential than older-generation systems. The processor is unlocked as well, giving enthusiasts additional tuning options. The main downside is heat. The 7900X is designed to run aggressively and can get quite warm under heavy loads. A quality CPU cooler is important, and I would recommend a strong air cooler or a good AIO if you plan on pushing it regularly. Power consumption can also be relatively high when all 12 cores are being heavily utilized. Another consideration is that the 7900X may be more processor than some users actually need. If your computer is primarily for gaming, a less expensive Ryzen chip or one of AMD's X3D processors may offer better gaming value. Where the 7900X really makes sense is for someone who wants a machine that can game extremely well while also handling serious productivity workloads. Overall, the Ryzen 9 7900X is an excellent all-around high-performance CPU. It offers a great balance of core count, clock speed, multitasking capability, and gaming performance. As long as you pair it with adequate cooling, it remains a very capable processor for a powerful AM5 build. **Pros:** 12 cores and 24 threads, excellent multitasking and productivity performance, strong gaming performance, DDR5 and PCIe 5.0 support, unlocked multiplier, and a good foundation for a high-end AM5 system. **Cons:** Runs hot under heavy workloads, requires a good cooling solution, can consume significant power at full load, and may be unnecessary if the system is being built strictly for gaming.
AMD Ryzen 9 - super fast, runs cool, set up and operation are flawless
AMD ryzen - It’s perfect.works great and able to enjoy my computer without any issues.its not the latest but its good for a budget build
Awesome speed, works great - Great Processor at a great price and BestBuy installed it quickly. Would buy again if the need arises.
CPU DOA - Generally not a fan of AMD to begin with as there quality control has always been suspect. And this just further confirmed that reputation. Supposed best CPUs for gaming or not that point is moot when its dead on arrival.
Great product - Great CPU I highly recommend it. If you want better get the x3d or go straight to ryzen 9 9950x3d
Excellent Performance and Value for High-End Build - Upgraded to the Ryzen 9 7900X and it’s been great so far. It handles gaming, multitasking, and anything else I throw at it without slowing down. Runs fast, stays stable, and was a huge upgrade over my old setup. If you’re building a high-end PC, this processor is definitely worth it.
AMD processor - I bought this AMD processor when they had the sale and saved me some cash works grate
Fast and good - My computer runs smooth as butter after installing this CPU.
