Customer reviews
Write a reviewDoes what it's supposed to! - Love it! Wished I had this sooner to track my sleep. Always wondered why I woke up tired and this device helped me.
Excellent value - Accuracy is outstanding, data almost identical with newest iphone. Impressive battery life. The app UI is not my favorite, but is adequate for my needs. Would buy again without question.
Love it - I am very hard on stuff and it doesn’t blink. Battery life is great as well
Its a great tracker - Was light and took the exercise preciously. Happy with the purchase.
Heilostrap simplicity - I’ve been wearing the Helio Strap for a while now, and it has become part of my daily routine. I barely notice it’s on. Comfort: Without a screen, it’s lightweight and low-profile. I wear it all day, during workouts, and overnight without it getting in the way. The strap is soft and stays put, even during sweaty sessions. Tracking: Sleep, recovery, strain, heart rate, and HRV data all feel useful rather than overwhelming. The recovery and readiness insights have helped me decide when to push harder and when to take it easy, and the numbers line up well with how I feel. Battery: It lasts far longer than the smartwatches I’ve used. I charge it occasionally instead of nightly, so it actually gets worn around the clock, which is what you want from a tracker. Value: This is the big one. You get premium-style recovery and strain tracking without a recurring membership fee. The Zepp app is clean and shows the data clearly, and I never feel nudged toward a paywall. Bottom line: If you want a distraction-free tracker that gives meaningful health and fitness insights without a monthly bill, the Helio Strap is easy to recommend. Highly recommended.
Amazing Fitness Tracker! - The Amazfit Helio Strap is in a category of technology I’ll call “ambient wearables”: tech that doesn’t distract you from your daily life, but supplements it greatly! I noticed a stark shift in my mindset of being active when I started wearing this, and in general began paying more attention to my personal fitness. I highly recommend this strap to everyone! The Helio is a small, single-piece rectangular “brick” that snaps onto its strap, which you wear just like any watch, but it has no screen, no indicators of notifications, or other distractions! The strap is very comfortable both for daily wearing and for sleeping, and it virtually adds no weight to the wrist. The Helio itself is a pure fitness sensor and tracker, with a vibration motor inside that can be used for a few main purposes: to act as an alarm (set through the app), to tell you your battery is running low, and to warn you during workouts when you’re working too intensely at a threshold you can customize! No subscriptions required, no hassle of feeling distracted by a wearable on your wrist, just pure health and fitness tracking! Not to mention, you rarely have to charge this device - it easily reached the advertised 10 day battery life! The Helio Strap is more than capable as a fitness tracker when paired with the Zepp app. Seeing detailed post-workout breakdowns, valuable health stats like muscle groups used during workouts, calories burned, paths walked/ran, as well as sleep patterns and stats broken down is incredibly cool and helpful for understanding your personal health and progressing towards fitness goals! Other notable things the Zepp app can do are track your heart rate and stress throughout the day, track meal and calorie intake with just a simple picture of the food or its label (very cool!), and provide deep personalized insights and explanations on all workouts and sleep metrics. There are other high quality parts of the app that I definitely don’t use as much, such as workout badges, Zepp Aura, and HybridCharge metrics, but that’s mostly because I don’t understand what the HybridCharge numbers mean in the context of my life, and don’t have a use for the zen features Zepp Aura provides, although it does have a cool library of relaxation sounds and breathing exercises (some behind a subscription wall). My only complaint I have about the Amazfit Helio is that I’ve had trouble syncing the Zepp app’s fitness data effectively with Apple Health out of the box (ie. 2x step counts in Apple Health), but it actually hasn’t detracted from the overall experience or great value of the device! Also be careful not to misplace the charging puck, as it’s extremely small and easy to lose!
Versatile, budget-friendly fitness tracker - The Amazfit - Helio Strap Fitness & Recovery Tracker is a great feature-packed device that I have found to be very impressive. It is very versatile and can be used for many different purposes but its main design is for fitness tracking with the unique added benefit of recovery tracking. My first thought when I tried on the Amazfit Helio for the first time was about how comfortable it was to wear. I wanted a fitness tracker I could comfortably wear almost all the time and before it arrived, I was worried it might feel too bulky or would not fit me properly because I have relatively thin wrists, but I was pleasantly surprised with how comfortable it is to wear the Amazfit Helio and how easy it is to use. Aside from fit, one of the other things I like most about the Amazfit Helio is the fact that it doesn’t require any sort of ongoing subscription to use. I feel like it is already a budget-friendly device but having the added benefit of it being able to do everything I wanted it to do without having to pay a subscription for extra features makes it even better. Another thing that really impressed me with the Amazfit Helio is the battery life. Having long battery life is important with these kinds of devices, especially if you are like me and you want to take advantage of the sleep tracking features. Since the battery is designed to last up to 10 days, I have established a routine where I charge mine around the same time each week which gets me through the whole week without needing to charge again. Overall, I am very impressed with the Amazfit – Helio Strap Fitness & Recovery Tracker and I highly recommend it!
Great Fitness Tracker with Excellent Battery Life - The Amazfit Helio Strap is a great fitness tracker for daily use. The battery life is one of the best features, as it lasts several days without needing frequent charging. The sleep tracking is really useful for understanding sleep patterns, sleep quality, and recovery. I also like the alarm feature for keeping up with my daily routine. The fitness tracking works well for monitoring heart rate, workouts, steps, and daily activities. It's lightweight and comfortable to wear, even while sleeping. The Zepp app is easy to use, and the best part is that there's no monthly subscription. Overall, it's a great fitness tracker for the price.
Very Good Fitness and Recovery Tracker! - The Amazfit Helio Strap is a nice wearable Fitness and Recovery Tracker that touts “No Screen, No Noise, just your body’s data” and does so without a mandatory subscription. This device is a “vital part of the Amazfit ecosystem” and integrates with their other products as well as their Zepp app. Key features of this device include: - No required subscription (more on his later) - Continuous heart-rate tracking - Live heart-rate broadcast - Wrist or upper-arm wear for training - Up to 10 days of battery life. The packaged device includes the strap, the Device itself, a charging puck, and an instruction manual. It does not include a USB-C cable for charging. Which is a nice choice since most users are likely to have a multitude of USB-C cables available to use. Another nice reminder from the Amazfit website is this is an HAS/FSA eligible device; many other trackers are, but those that are both Smartwatches and Fitness trackers require additional documentation to be considered eligible. Amazfit touts this design and the wrist for daily wear and the arm for training - as a capability that keeps your data connected – especially in situations where your smartwatch would be a hindrance or is just plainly unavailable. This allows better tracking and analysis because it helps to eliminate data gaps. This also allows for extended battery life (no screen to power) and the ability to give a more complete picture of your health data. The heart rate monitoring is an especially capable feature in that it allows one to: - Know when to exercise more intensely, or to recover. - Track heart rate every second via a secure arm worn design – this is especially useful in strength train, running and hybrid workouts where wrist movement and flex might interfere with heart rate sensors. - Can broadcast live Heart Rate Data to devices that you train with, The second important feature is the focus on recovery, the Amazfit advanced BioTracker™ technology one can get a clearer view of daily readiness, and overall capacity over time. The device can monitor over fifty (50) sports modes via the Zepp app to get the complete picture of your training over time. With its post-workout capabilities, you can get an excellent picture of your training including the VO2 max metrics, training load, training effect, and recovery time. With the Zepp App all this Health, Training and Recovery data is stored together in one place. My one complaint about the Zepp app is the constant reminder to keep the app open on your phone even though the device does not require this to always be open. The most frustrating part is this notification appears to not have a setting to turn off these reminders. Outside of this I have found the Zepp app to be a good app for capturing both your fitness and recovery data. There is an add-on service, Zepp Aura, which is an AI-powered sleep and relaxaton service that works via the Zepp app. Overall, this is a genuinely nice fitness and recovery tracker with some unique capabilities that make it worthwhile. I am planning on further evaluating the Arm location to complement my other wrist-based fitness tracker.
Long battery life - Great products without subscription fees. Battery last 11 days. Track more info than Apple Watch. Tracking on treadmill is questionable though. I run 3 miles in 30 min (Per watch and treadmill), but band says only 1.5 miles ran. However it’s just as accurate as the watch in outdoor runs…I guess bc it leverages the GPS on the phone. Overall, can’t complain.
Long life health tracking tool - The Amazfit Helio Strap is a very low power fitness tracker that has greatly improved my health monitoring. Similar to other Amazfit products, one of the best features is the incredibly long battery life. I strap it on, it feels comfortable, and it weighs next to nothing. All of this makes it comfortable for wearing all day. Full disclosure, I do like to look at my running statistics while running (and having a watch to see time and notifications). I already have the Active 3 Premium from Amazfit for this. You aren’t going to get to see who texted or have the opportunity to respond, but that’s not why I wanted the Helio Strap. This strap is most effective for two primary reasons, sports and sleep. Referees do not like me wearing a watch while playing soccer, and personally, I don’t want it to be damaged. So the opportunity to slip a sweatband over it, protecting everyone, while tracking all of my stats is awesome. When I go to sleep, it continues to measure everything without being distracted by any late night texts, and also includes a really handy alarm that vibrates until I turn it off. These two features have improved my entire setup and tracking. The two devices share the same charging mechanism which is also really awesome for me. I have included different screen shots of the app, which does an exceptional job of tracking all of my statistics. One last point, the Helio Strap does NOT have a GPS. So if you want to location track your runs, you won’t be able to do that. This is not a deal breaker for me due to the watch, but it is the one thing that might make me consider other options if I didn’t have my watch. But all in, I love the Helio Strap, especially for sports, where I don’t need to worry about it being shattered, and sleep, so I can have a nice 7 hours of uninterrupted bliss.
As informative as a ring, but less fashionable - Health tracking tech has become all the rage. Smart watches are a thing of the past, rings and straps are the current and future. While I've had my fair share of experience with a ring as of late, I was interested in trying out the Amazfit - Helio Strap Fitness & Recovery Tracker. My exerpience with the tracker was relatively pleasant and left my confident in the concept overall, but this product individually. Like most health tracking tech, it all traces back to an app. The Helio Strap leverages the Zepp app. Upon opening it, it was very similar to other apps from popular brands health tech, which made utilizing it fairly easy. The data it collects is just as extensive as other apps if not more. I slept with the strap as well as my ring to compare the data. The strap came up just a little over on the time asleep, but very close. In regards to experience wearing the strap, it felt almost non-existent. I wore the strap on my right wrist opposite watch. Day to day usage, sleeping with it, all felt relatively non-existent. Battery life is advertised as 10 days worth of batttery usage. I've yet to go 10 days without charging, but I can say the battery does drain extremely slow. Upon doing further research, I found Amazfit states the Helio Strap is 5 ATM water resistant, which means it's good for shallow waters and swims. I chose not to get it wet, unlike my ring, which I felt comfortable keeping on in water. Lacking full water resistence means it can't be levereaged for it's health tracking abilities in a pool. For this, I deducted a point. Overall, the Amazfit - Helio Strap is awesome health tracking tech at an affordable price. While it may not be as attractive as the latest fashionable smart ring, it gets the job done for sure and I'd recommend it strongly to those looking for health tracking tech on a budget.
The amazing Amazfit fit tracker - I have tried them all and if you want a no contract health tracker this one is for you and your entire family
Nice product - comfortable on the wrist 1 week battery life. Not included cable
Best fitness band - I literally love this thing! I think no I know I made the best choice!
The Best Screen-Free Health Tracker - After wearing the Amazfit Helio Strap continuously for two weeks, I believe it offers one of the best screen-free health-tracking experiences on the market. Its discreet design, intuitive app, and strong recovery insights make it an excellent choice for anyone who wants continuous health data without wearing a smartwatch. In fact, I see it not only as an alternative to an advanced smartwatch, but also as a complementary device that can be used alongside one. The device comes with a comfortable band, charges quickly, and delivers excellent battery life. In my experience, a full charge lasts about 10 days, which makes it easy to wear consistently and minimizes gaps in my data. The metrics are recorded and available in the Zepp app, which I find intuitive, clear, and easy to read. Access to this data does not require a mandatory subscription, which is a major advantage over the competing tracker. The app provides detailed information about the traditional fitness activities, but in my opinion where the Helio Strap really excels in its health and recovery metrics, especially sleep and heart-rate tracking. The information offers enough depth to help me follow trends in my training and recovery, and the Bluetooth connection with the app has never let me down with any data gap. The readings have also been highly accurate. For running and heartrate, closely comparable to those from my chest strap heartrate monitor. That gives me confidence in the data while offering the convenience of relying on just one compact device when I am on the move. It also offers an advantage to wear when the sport watch is not adequate. For years, I used a more advanced sports watch (one that cost roughly 10 times more) to track my workouts but also the recovery during my regular working hours. To avoid interruptions in my data, I often wore it even when a classic analog watch would have been more appropriate for business meetings or formal attire. Now, I found a way to have the data in a more discreet device (note also that you can buy a band to place it on your arm) and my regular analog watch. The competitive price and the fact that there is no subscription fee to access my data make the Helio Strap, in my opinion, the best budget-friendly option on the market without sacrificing accuracy. I need to say that I found two annoyances: the box does not include the USB charging cable that connects to the magnetic charging attachment, so you need to have your own compatible cable. We all have one, but the impression of saving money in small details could not be the best. The device also comes with only a one-year warranty, which seems a little short for something designed to be worn all day, every day. Let’s see the quality with time. I think the Helio Strap design brings a perfect companion to my other tracking devices adding a new complement to my wardrove. Being discreet and compact and without screen, I can wear it discreetly while switching back to my classic watches whenever the occasion calls for one. I continue collecting the health and recovery data. For that reason, I found that this can be a companion to your smartwatch. Strongly recommended.
Great health monitor - I have never been the type to use fitness trackers, since I already use a smart watch. But like all Smart Devices, it is easy to get distracted by it or not even utilize all of the apps and functions that are in a Smart Device. So, I was intrigued by the Amazfit. Setting up was pretty straightforward and I was excited to start using it. There are so many great features on this that are all recorded on the accompanying app on my Smart phone. I found it really great to move pass just tracking my steps or my heart rate every day. Features like checking my breathing rate, stress level, workout tracking have been a source of education and motivation for me. I especially like the stress level tracker found on the Home Screen of the app. I am able to see at which time my stress level is high (or low), and to reflect on what was going on at that time. In the Workout section, I was able to easily start a workout session: walking, treadmill or running were ones that I would use often. It would also provide me a map and track my route and the areas of most exertion. What was really eye opening was when I would wear it on when I sleep. This would monitor my breathing, sleep patterns, apnea if present, and even when I am in deep REM sleep. It would also give me warnings to keep track of if it went below "normal". Features like that have been very useful for me to monitor my daily living and I feel that this is a great way of doing so. Overall, this has been very great smart tracking device to have. IT is very comfortable to wear and the Velcro strap feels good on my hand. The battery life has been exceptional where wearing it for over three days straight has only drained it to about 75%.
Great and affordable fitness tracker - GOOD - Affordable - Good health and fitness tracking - Multi-day battery life - Waterproof / can swim with it - Doesn't require any subscription plans BAD - No GPS - Stock band is a little small - Only available in black TLDR The Helio Strap is designed with one goal in mind: to be a lightweight, low-profile health and fitness tracker only for a good price. If you don't want or don't need a tracker with a display or phone and notification integration, the Helio has a lot of health and fitness tracking features that don't need a subscription. DETAILS Despite the relatively low cost of about $100, the Helio Strap shares most of the tracking features found in Amazfit's more premium watches. Also like those products, Amazfit doesn't lock those features behind a paywall or subscription service. Apart from the lack of GPS and barometric sensors, the Helio can track seemingly everything the more expensive Active and Balance watches do. The question then becomes why pay $100 for the Helio when you get something like the Active 3 for only a little more money? Because ditching the display on a fitness tracker has a lot of advantages. First, the screen is by far the biggest power draw. Removing it allows the same battery to last longer, or a smaller battery to last just as long. The screen is also the most vulnerable part of a typical smart watch and prone to get damaged, scratched, and broken. So without a display, the tracker can be smaller, lighter, lower profile on your wrist, and not something you worry about getting dinged up a little bit. The most likely use-case here is as a lower-cost secondary fitness tracker to use when a normal smart watch isn't as practical. Something smaller and lighter on your wrist can be a big deal when doing some high-impact exercises or other activities that you don't want to risk damage to your more expensive smart watch. The lighter weight also means less flopping around on your arm, so potentially better heart-rate tracking. You can also use it with a bicep strap to really keep it out of the way ( though sadly none is provided in the box ). There are a few downsides here. Naturally, without a display, you can only interface with the tracker through your phone. This is really neither good nor bad, it's just the reality of the design choice. As mentioned, it only comes with the single strap, which is only available in black and a touch on the small side. My wrists are on the larger end and I couldn't put it on my hand by just loosening the strap; I had to fully remove the strap tail from the other end. It does use a standard 2mm strap, so you can replace it easily enough. Perhaps the biggest limitation is the lack of GPS. If it had position tracking, this would be a fabulous standalone run tracker, allowing you to leave your phone at home.
Mixed results compared to my other trackers. - Subscription Amazfit - Helio Strap Fitness & Recovery Tracker - 10-Day Battery, 24/7 Health Tracking - No - Black - (2025). I had recently tested a lower cost Fitbit tracker and thought that it was a good quality tracker so I figured the new Amazfit would be even better. I noticed the description promoting that no subscription was required to benefit from the tracking abilities but then I saw a low cost subscription an app called the Zepp App with a two week trial and used it because it added more in depth tracking. I then started to allow a few of my trackers to be able to share the different categories they monitor. As the days passed by I noticed that my data was creating great summaries from my Oura ring, to Apple Ultra 4 health and my Hume band all created a wealth of data that was worth reviewing to see how my trends were moving. I liked that you could choose different workout routines depending on what are of the body you wanted to focus on. I always liked reading what the summaries that each of my devices had in there application to see if the feedback was the same or different from the other options. My Zepp app special subscription ends in 2 days but I will use the basic functions on it. Now for my mixed results issue with Amazfit. My hand is slightly larger than average and I always had to max out the sizing before I was able to manuever it on to my arm and then secure it with the velcro. I have to adjust the band during the day because it gets uncomfortable which becomes frustrating. If you have a normal size hand/arm then you should be fine.
