Stopped working - While it worked it was amazing quality but it stopped powering on at 15 day mark "thank gosh" and had to return. Bestbuy is great and took it back because it was at the 15 day return window. I'll goce 3 stars because it was amazing while it worked.

Customer reviews
Write a reviewGood Moniter - This is a nice product overall. However, I would like to mention that the stand is absolutely terrible. It constantly shakes while I type, and is currently shaking as I write this review. I own another monitor, which does not shack nearly as much as this one does. But like I said this monitor is overall very good, so I would definitely recommend, especially when on sale.
Acer Oled Monitor - Great value! Great oled quality. Refresh rate is a plus.
Great monitor the picture is amazing and it has great refresh rates.
Washed out - Like every mode is washed out looking really horrible..
Monitor - Very good product. Nice picture good graphics would recommend for anyone
ACER PREDATOR 27" MONITOR - Great graphics and quick refresh rate. A great product for the price.
Awesome OLED! - Awesome OLED monitor for great price at bestbuy. Switched from a VA panel to an Oled is like night and day difference with deeper blacks and sharp colors. Would definitely recommend!
Great Value and Quality - This product for the price is amazing, extremely thin so it fits well on any desk even small ones, and the graphics for high powered PC's is absolutely astonishing. Great buy would highly recommended
Game changer - First experience with an OLED monitor and I couldn’t be happier I made the switch. If you’re on the edge of spending a little more money on a monitor I highly suggest going for it. You won’t be disappointed! Just make sure to purchase a separate monitor arm or stand.
Good monitor - Really good monitor the only issue is the stand it’s way too wobbly
Huge upgrade - really great display - This Acer flat-panel is exactly what I needed to replace an outdated curved monitor. Right out of the box, the image is strikingly sharp. It retains the crisp quality you’d normally expect from a much smaller screen. The OLED panel is pretty impressive. There's a lot of talk about true blacks on an OLED and this monitor follows through. There is zero ghosting during dark, fast-paced games, and the image holds up perfectly in both brightly-lit and pitch-black rooms. I’d read some chatter suggesting this panel might struggle with red color saturation. I actively looked for evidence of this and couldn't find any. The colors look fantastic across the board. Physically, the design is incredibly thin and lightweight, like so much so that I'm considering rearranging my desk to take advantage. I also tested it briefly on a secondary desk with a much steeper viewing angle than my normal setup, and there was no material drop-off in image quality. If you're looking to finally replace a clunky monitor for something that simply executes its core functions exceptionally well, this is a massive upgrade. It delivers brilliant clarity, rich colors, and true blacks in a highly efficient footprint.
Great picture, but light on other features. - There are a few things I look for when purchasing a monitor. Believe it or not, the quality of the display itself (in terms of how it looks, responsiveness, brightness, contrast, etc.) can be somewhat secondary because I have noticed that, unless I have another monitor there to compare it to, subtle differences can be difficult to identify or notice. With that being said, the OLED display quality on this monitor is really nice. Graphics are vibrant, the brightness is good, and the blacks are nice and dark. As far as the specs are concerned, 2560x1440 (2K/QHP) resolution is solid for a 26.5" monitor. The OLED panel is as nice as one would expect an OLED display to be. Typical brightness is 200 nits with a peak brightness of 400 nits (HDR). Response time is 0.01 ms (PRT)/0.03 ms (GTG). There are a lot of firmware menu options, including some standard default settings for games (action, shooter, sports, etc.) along with an Eco mode, photo mode, HDR mode, and a few others. The differences, from my perspective, are subtle, although I seem to gravitate toward HDR when using the display for things other than gaming. The monitor does have your typical gaming features as well, such as on screen crosshairs and the like. What I found disappointing was not the display itself, but the monitor's connectivity and its stand. The monitor has one display port and two HDMI inputs. That's it. No USB hub, no thunderbolt/USB-C. No way to supply power from the monitor via USB-C (or thunderbolt) to a connected computer. No audio out jack, either. As far as the included monitor stand is concerned, it attaches without any tools, which is nice, but lack y-axis movement and x-axis pivot/turning. The monitor tilts a little bit up and down; that's about it. If you are a serious gamer who likes to be able to customize your setup, find an articulating VESA arm or something similar as the included stand leaves a lot to be desired. In closing, this is a nice monitor and, as long as you do not expect a great deal of flexibility in how it sits on the included stand, and also do not care about USB-C/Thunderbolt or passing audio through the HDMI to a headphone jack, this is a nice option for a fast, responsive, nice-looking OLED screen.
Great screen, cheap stand - This is an excellent monitor overall for gaming on a tighter budget. It has a really accurate and smooth OLED display, is very thin, and has slim bezels. It is physically a very nice design and easy to look at, bringing a premium look and feel for the screen itself. Color representation is excellent as are the blacks and HDR brightness is decent at 456 nits. Gaming is smooth and crisp, and it pairs up nicely with my 5070 equipped laptop. I’ve tried out a few games I’ve played recently on it to see how it handles them, from Expedition 33 to Forza Horizon 6 and 007 First Light. All of them really shine, looking fantastic. It is a bit light on ports, with two HDMI’s and one Display Port, but no USB’s or anything else. The biggest drawback for it is the stand is a cheap, flimsy joke. It flexes so much that when I am at my keyboard on a super stable desk the monitor shakes a ton with the slightest movement. To add further insult it has almost zero adjustability, with only a slight tilt available but no rotation or height changes available whatsoever. Even putting it together felt cheap and I wondered if it would be easy to break. I’d say plan on an adjustable arm for this monitor and skip the stand, since thankfully it still has a VESA 100 x 100 mounting point. The stand really drags this monitor down a great deal. Otherwise, it is a nice package, 240 hz refresh rate, QHD, OLED, it checks lots of boxes. If you’re looking for a quality screen and have a mounting solution available, I’d recommend this one for sure.
2k QD OLED, 240hz, super low price! - This acer predator gaming monitor is probably the lowest price I’ve seen recently. I’m sure there are others but this is a very affordable price point for a QD-OLED panel that is 1440p and 240hz. The panel was even calibrated which shows a level of dedication from Acer. You want to have the sharpest and most accurate display possible and that effort is usually reserved for higher end monitors.the colors are beautiful and super vivid since this panel is a QD(quantum dot) oled. You get the expected super fast response time of oled and a respectable 240hz refresh rate. At this price I wouldn’t have been upset if it was only 144hz. The panel isn’t the brightest but it’s perfect in my opinion. The menu is good although it is a bit outdated but you do have access to all the most important settings you would need from a gaming monitor. The design is nice and simple and the mounting is very easy but you do not have any adjustability unfortunately and the stand does feel a bit weak so be careful not to try an adjust it as I felt like it might break. But again, if you are looking to get a monitor with a beautiful screen, high refresh rate and is very affordable then this one I definitely recommend. This is the best bang for your buck and will be an even better deal when on sale and sales are frequent. Truly an amazing deal for an amazing monitor!
Fantastic OLED at the perfect size and great price - This is a fantastic, focused display. At a fair price, you get a straightforward display with an amazing picture and deep blacks, with only a few drawbacks. First, it’s the perfect size. At just under 27” and a 1440p resolution, it’s fantastic for gaming. This is a current sweet spot for getting the best performance from an average, mid-level gaming machine and above. Color fidelity is amazing, as is typical with most OLED panels and a fast refresh rate means jitters and tearing in the image is almost non-existent. While great for gaming, OLEDs at this resolution don’t offer the best clarity for productivity as an IPS panel, in my opinion. I see that with this model, but it’s passable and reads more like a 1080p resolution when looking at smaller text sizes on the web or in productivity applications. In games, this makes almost no difference and it looks amazing. The design is also very compact. The panel is very slim, providing a nice, sleek look. The overall assembly is also more shallow than other 27” OLEDs I own. The stand is sculpted and reads as a ‘gaming’ monitor more than others, with its largest drawback being that this model had no height adjustment. The display is set slightly low, and while you get some pivoting options, taller users may need to place a stack of books underneath, or place this on a stand for a better, ergonomic height. Overall, it’s a straightforward design with a fair price. OLED is one of the best technologies for a great experience while gaming, so Acer has a great offering here. OLEDs simply provide the best blacks, amazing viewing angles, good brightness, perfect blacks, etc. This model isn’t the brightest, but it offers great light for most cases, nonetheless. This one is easy to recommend, as long as you don’t require height adjustment and don’t mind the slightly showy stand.
Fantastic monitor with a cheap stand. - Something I find interesting about OLED is the fact that it still has a lot of hype and praise around it, despite the fact that it's some years old, at this point. When modern HD televisions took over for CRTs, the excitement around the update didn't seem to last very long. Even when plasma televisions became more common, the praise for them was high, but everyone moved on quick. OLED's novelty has certainly dipped as it has grown more common, but it's still highly praised as amazing technology with unmatched quality in picture and color. It's sometimes a little difficult to remember exactly why, until you see it for yourself after only looking at LCDs for a while. This monitor did that for me. To cut to the chase, this is a fantastic monitor, whether for professional work or gaming. The image quality is beautiful - bright, vibrant colors, unbelievable contrast, high refresh rate. There's no ghosting that I could discern, even when doing a specific test for it. The design of the monitor and stand themselves are adequately gamery, with the steep angles and all. It may be garish to some, but I think it looks great. The included HDMI cable was capable of outputting the full 240hz the monitor is rated for, which is always a plus. On that topic, the monitor has 2 HDMI inputs, and only one Displayport input, which I'm not certain I've seen on a monitor before. More often than not, there's just one HDMI, and two or more Displayports. I guess it's so that you can hook up multiple game consoles to it if you wanted, as there's some news about gamers trending away from couch gaming these days. This monitor has one major problem for me, which is why I deducted a star: The stand. While it does function - it holds the display up, and doesn't wobble TOO much when you're playing keyboard and mouse (still a bit more than I'd like though) - it feels cheap. Like chintzy, light plastic that's hollowed out to save on shipping weight. It's stable enough, but I want something a bit more rugged and durable for such a nice monitor, you know? It does have the VESA mount on the rear, so one could purchase a 3rd party stand, or wall mount, if one so desired. But I wish the included stand was just a bit better. Even so, for less than $400, it's hard to complain. If you want a high end monitor without paying high end prices, this is an excellent option. The only compromise you'll make is on the stand, and that's something that's easy enough to fix, if you've got an extra $20. I would highly recommend this monitor.
Solid QD-OLED Choice for Gaming - I’ve been on a rotation to replace all our older TN & VA panels with OLED monitors. I wanted another 27in monitor to replace the gaming setups TN panel. I was eyeing a QD-OLED, as they’re great for gaming and amazing for HDR. I saw Acer had a new refresh of the Predator XB270U monitor, so decided to give it a try. Pros: - Beautiful Color. - High Frame Rates & Quick Response. - Thin Bezel & Light Weight. - HDR works great! Cons: - No DisplayPort Cable included. - Text can seem fuzzy on white background. Setup: I’m a sucker for simple things. Like when a monitor is nothing more than a Monitor, there is no need to connect it to the internet or setup any accounts just to display your game. Just plug it in and start gaming. Acer includes with the Predator XB270U QD-OLED only a Power Cable and HDMI. Unfortunately, they don’t include a DisplayPort cable. The monitor has 2xHDMI and 1xDisplayPort, along with a power port. No USB-A or USB-C ports. Setup was simple, take the monitor out of the box, plug in the power & display cable, then power on. I did go into the monitor settings to check and enable a few settings, but everything was a simple switch to on. The biggest thing I noticed while setting up the monito was just how thin and lightweight the panel was, with most of the panel edges being just 4mm (0.16in!!). Do be careful when taking it out of the box. Monitor Settings: Monitor settings can be accessed from the on-panel controls via the back of the right side, just above the Power button. A press of multi-function joystick brings up the menu, which then provides easy to navigate options. If you’re going to use HDR settings, then just simply switch the monitor to HDR mode, which takes care of most of the important settings needed for getting the best picture out of HDR. The only other setting I’d occasionally check is the screen refresh under panel care, OLED’s can get burn-in from static images like the Windows Taskbar or Mini-Maps, which can leave a lingering ghost image on the screen. Luckily, most of the monitors have a panel setting that refreshes the monitors pixels if they get stuck which can undue that image if caught early enough. Just run that occasionally, and you should be fine. Display: The display is a 26.5in 2K QD-OLED panel, which stands for Quantum Dot which is a special type of OLED panel that excels at gaming and HDR uses. QD helps improve the color and how clear moving images are on the display, hence why it’s amazing for gaming. The high contrast and response time makes it so there is no ghosting or blooming with bright colors, in fact the test for this is almost mesmerizing because it feels like staring at an old CRT monitor playing an endless screen saver. Paired with a 240Hz Refresh Rate, this makes the Predator XB270U a solid choice for any gamer. The biggest drawbacks are with text clarity and full screen brightness compared to other OLED panels, as well as the ever-potential risk of OLED burn-in. I only noticed the issue with the text when viewing text on a bright white background, it was less noticeable when applying a dark mode theme that swapped text color from black to white as the darker background provided less contrast than the all-white background. Acer applied a high gloss finish to the display, which is very common for OLED displays as it helps make the color pop and stay sharp, without causing color shifting. Size-wise, the Predator XB270U is slightly under standard 27in size, which is only noticeable when placed next to another normal thickness monitor, because the bezel on the Predator is so thin it makes the monitor look much smaller. Additionally, the weight is much lighter when compared to a non-OLED panel. Playing On It: Honestly, I had one of my best experiences gaming on the Predator XB270X. The colors just popped out, while objects moved smoothly and stayed sharp. I love playing FPS games, so moving quickly and smoothly is extremely important for landing the shot. I played for many hours on Fortnite and The Division 2, never noticing any issues like ghosting or color bloom with both games using ray-tracing effects for light and reflections that can cause other monitors to bloom/halo. The HDR alone was worth it, with more games supporting HDR, and even higher HDR standards, it is even more important to have a display that can take full advantage of the range of HDR colors. The Black color stands out so much more, allowing for you to see even in dark scenes (think caves/dark rooms) in a way that just doesn't work on other monitor panels. Just make sure to enable HDR mode on the monitor and within your OS and game to get the full use of it. Conclusion: If you’re considering upgrading to an OLED monitor to mainly play games, then consider a QD-OLED monitor as it offers high refresh rates, quick response times, and HDR support that makes gaming even more enjoyable. The Acer Predator XB270U checks off all of these plus keeps everything simple, just plug it in and start gaming. I’ll be recommending this monitor as a strong choice for those looking to get an OLED monitor.
Entry OLED Beats IPS/VA/TN, But Know Flaws - If you haven't tried an OLED monitor for gaming, then you must, because it is such a substantial upgrade from the standard TN, IPS, and VA panels that have been out. The difference is night and day and there is no competition. I was interested in this monitor because I wanted to see how a "cheap" OLED monitor compared to an expensive OLED monitor as I have both. I have to admit I'm absolutely shocked at the value you get here. However, with that said, this monitor isn't perfect and, depending on use case, could still be a poor choice. I'm giving it 5 stars for unbeatable value, but not for physical perfection or for outperforming more expensive OLEDs, because it doesn't. I think the trades, mainly the stand and limited luminance/brightness, make this a great entry-level OLED for the majority of gamers. THIS MONITOR IS A POOR CHOICE IF: 1. You plan on having static images on for long periods of time. An OLED should not be your primary monitor due to the risk of burn-in, especially when using a more affordable OLED panel that has fewer protections. 2. You really enjoy HDR. This monitor simply does not get bright enough or have enough tweaking behind the scenes to provide a good HDR experience. COMPARED TO EXPENSIVE OLED: - For comparison, I put this monitor against a more expensive panel of the same specs (1440p, 240 Hz, OLED, but with HDR400 certification and about twice as expensive), as well as a 4K 240Hz OLED with HDR1000 certification that costs three times as much. - What I found on the more expensive panels is they had more accurate colors in the sense that they were more punchy, vibrant, and had better luminance/brightness leading to superior picture quality (less washed out). The build quality was better, along with better stands. They had more settings in the firmware, but the main ones are still in this Acer. Text was sharper and easier to read, the heatsink was bigger, they got a lot brighter, and the overall components used were superior, along with better firmware and software. - This is likely a 1st gen OLED panel vs the 2nd gen and 3rd gen panels I tested it against. - While the differences are immediately visible when placed side-by-side, they aren't 'night and day' in isolation. Unless you are a hardcore hardware enthusiast, the cost savings easily outweigh these nuanced differences for the average buyer. THOUGHTS ON JUST THIS MONITOR: PROS: - It is crazy just how good this monitor is and how it completely destroys IPS, TN, or VA for gaming. The latency is dramatically reduced, making everything feel incredibly fluid and precise, there is minimal motion blur, and pixel response time is extremely quick, leading to a superior experience. Not only are the visuals (black levels, colors, and viewing angles) dramatically better, but the reduction in latency creates a phenomenal feel that elevates highly competitive gaming. - I found the text readability to be good. But not as good as IPS. This is due to the RGB layout. Which for some people is a big problem and for others it is not. I recommend doing some research on this if you plan on using this monitor for any text work. - Colors were accurate and punchy. However, I did notice that at times the image looked a little bit flat. This is due to low peak luminance (brightness), which compresses the dynamic range even though the contrast ratio is “limitless”. An improvement here is the main thing you get with more expensive panels. - The joystick was in the Goldilocks zone, where it was easy to move and click. I often find joysticks on other monitors far too stiff. Additionally, it has a dedicated power-on and power-off button, which also was in the Goldilocks zone, not being too soft or too hard to press. They're both on the right side of the monitor, making them easy to get to. - I was expecting the bezels to be bigger, but they equal my more expensive monitors, so it's not something to worry about. - The OSD had plenty of settings. For example, I play Escape from Tarkov a lot, so adjusting the black levels allows me to see better in that game. This monitor did a great job at raising those black levels while still providing accurate colors and keeping the image looking good, which I was very surprised about. - This monitor does come with a calibration sheet. For mine, the delta E was probably around 1.2, which is excellent, and they claim it is going to be less than 2. For reference, less than 2 is not noticeable to human eyes, allegedly. However, that claim is only proven on the dedicated sRGB mode. - I really enjoyed my time gaming on this monitor, as I think 1440p is a great spot for gaming, as it increases resolution while not being too demanding on modern hardware. This led my games to have very high frame rates and feel extremely smooth, and it was just a very enjoyable experience all around. - It does have a crosshair setting if you want. Additionally, it had something called sniper, where it would zoom in on where your crosshairs would be, which I thought was unique. - It would warn me after around 4 hours of use that I should do a pixel cleaning, which you can decline, and it does not force it on you. I found that it did not last too long when I did do it. As mentioned, it also has some settings in the OSD to help, such as pixel shift and other things. - It comes with an ultra-high-speed HDMI cable, but no DisplayPort cable. It only has two HDMI ports and a DisplayPort, along with a built-in power supply. You can plug in headphones if you wish, but it does not have speakers. Personally, I'm fine with them being relatively limited here because it saves a substantial amount of money on features that I typically don't use anyway. - With QD-OLED, you can sometimes have a purplish hue in bright lighting. However, that was not something that I noticed, even when the monitor was off or when I had all of my lights on. CONS: - While burn-in seems to be not as big of an issue as people have thought, it still comes to mind when using an OLED. For me, it's constantly a lingering thought that I have in the back of my head, which is enough for me to adjust my behavior. I often turn it off if it is just a static image that I'm not doing anything with, or I purposely put on a moving image to prevent burn-in. While this panel does come with some features to prevent that from happening, it is not nearly as robust as the more expensive OLEDs. With it likely using an older generation panel, I think it has increased risk, which may or may not reduce the lifespan. - Overall brightness is low. They report about 200 nits average to about 400 nits max, which seems about right. I often had it at 100% in a dark room, which was fine. However, if I added all of my lights that I normally have, or if I had it by a window where it had a lot of sun, it would not be bright enough. - The stand is not good. It is quite short, has zero adjustment, and wobbles like a boss. Mine was uneven, making the monitor lean to the left a bit. However, it has VESA mounting screws, which I then used, which completely mitigated that. - I did not see a setting to turn off the LED that is in the middle of the monitor. This means if you have this in a bedroom, you either need to turn off the monitor instead of allowing it to go into standby, or cover it with a piece of tape.
Wonderful budget friendly OLED monitor - I have been using the same simple 24 inch monitor since 2019 for work and hooking up my laptop for gaming. It was time for an upgrade and this is definitely an upgrade. For work, I tend to have two tabs side by side and this 27 inch screen is perfect for that while not taking up a lot of room on my desk. This was made for gaming and it definitely shows. The resolution on the monitor is 2560x1440 and provides a very clear and bright picture. I had the refresh rate set at 240hz and my games looked great, I did not notice any lag or stuttering. The build of the monitor is pretty solid but not heavy. The stand is simple, there is no height adjustment but it does have the ability to tilit forward and backward slightly. The standard height was perfect for my desk. The bezel/black space around the visible screen is about under 1 cm. There was a really good HDMI cable included so you can hook it up right out of the box without having to purchase anything else. I feel that this is a great value for what you get, great picture, great performance without costing a whole lot.
